UpStream BPO announces the establishment of a new office in the Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan

Representatives of IT Park convened a meeting with Ahmed Qayyum, the founder of the renowned Malaysian outsourcing company, UpStream BPO.

 

UpStream BPO already stands as one of the major BPO service providers in Asia, boasting over 5000 employees and offices in Malaysia and Singapore.

 

 

During the meeting, Ahmed Qayyum affirmed plans to establish a new office in the Syrdarya Region of Uzbekistan, thereby expanding its presence within Central Asia.

 

The decision to establish a new office in Uzbekistan aligns with UpStream BPO’s strategy to tap into emerging markets and leverage the burgeoning economic opportunities in Central Asia. Uzbekistan, owing to its strategically advantageous geographical location and dynamic economic growth, will serve as an ideal hub for servicing both local and international markets.

 

 

The new division of UpStream BPO in Syrdarya will focus on several critical business functions, including personnel management, financial technologies, cybersecurity, and general business process outsourcing. To acquaint themselves with the country's human resource potential and educational system, a meeting was arranged with representatives from INHA University, during which the parties reached an agreement regarding colloborative training of specialists and their subsequent employment at UpStream BPO in Uzbekistan. Harnessing local talent pool, UpStream BPO aspires to deliver high-quality outsourcing services competitive on a global scale.

 

 

As part of his visit to Uzbekistan, Ahmed Qayyum also paid a visit to MAAB Innovation. The meeting with Maab Innovation was aimed to enhance cooperation, and during the negotiations, the parties reached a decision to enlist graduates of MAAB Innovation for employment at the new office of UpStream BPO. It was agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation, which will fortify the partnership relations and ensure a consistent influx of skilled personnel. Furthermore, during the visit, a meeting was convened at Unicall company to explore avenues for joint projects, which unveil new prospects for both parties.

 

 

The establishment of the new office is expected to substantially elevate Uzbekistan’s export potential in the field of information technology, while also exerting a positive impact on the local economy through the creation of high-quality employment positions.
