Xiaomi considers Uzbekistan as a service hub with access to CIS markets

Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, held a meeting with a delegation from Xiaomi led by Wang Guifen, Business Development Director. During the discussions, the parties examined a model under which user support for CIS markets could be scaled from Uzbekistan through IT Park members, with a longer-term perspective on global expansion. Particular attention was given to increasing the volume of orders for Uzbek companies.

Xiaomi is a leading Chinese technology company engaged in the production of smartphones, consumer electronics, and smart home devices. The company has also established a global ecosystem of smart devices and online services, and maintains an extensive network of partners and suppliers worldwide.

A key focus of the dialogue was Uzbekistan’s pool of multilingual specialists and the broader potential of its regions. The parties also considered the introduction of educational programs and the establishment of training centers in accordance with Xiaomi’s corporate standards.

The discussions further highlighted the company’s existing operational model: a portion of Xiaomi’s customer support services is already being provided by a partner that, in June 2025, launched the company’s first call center in Tashkent. Building on this foundation, the parties addressed a phased centralization of service flows for CIS markets through IT Park members as an initial step, with subsequent expansion to other regions.

IT Park extended an invitation to Xiaomi representatives to visit Uzbekistan for follow-up discussions, to which the company expressed its readiness.

These agreements are expected to enhance Xiaomi’s outsourcing support for CIS markets from Uzbekistan by engaging multilingual specialists and increasing order volumes for IT Park members. In turn, this will contribute to strengthening the export potential of Uzbekistan’s IT sector, reinforcing the country’s position as a favorable destination for international tech outsourcing, and creating new employment opportunities. Xiaomi representatives have accepted the invitation to visit Uzbekistan for continued negotiations.
