A delegation from the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, led by Minister Sherzod Shermatov, together with representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan headed by CEO Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, held a meeting with Shamil Ibragimov, Scholar in Residence at the MIT Kuo Sharper Center for Prosperity and Entrepreneurship.
During the meeting, the parties discussed areas of potential collaboration to support Uzbekistan’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its digital and innovation ecosystem. The conversation focused broadly on innovation-driven growth, entrepreneurial capacity building, and opportunities for shared learning between Uzbekistan and the MIT Kuo Sharper Center.
Shamil Ibragimov noted: “Uzbekistan has made remarkable progress in building a dynamic digital economy. We were pleased to explore opportunities for shared learning and potential collaboration aimed at supporting the country’s innovation ecosystem. We look forward to continuing the dialogue and identifying ways the MIT Kuo Sharper Center can contribute to this important journey.”
The MIT Kuo Sharper Center has previously delivered programs such as the MIT Tech Leaders Lab for digital leaders from Uzbekistan, designed to enhance leadership capabilities within the Ministry of Digital Technologies, IT Park Uzbekistan, and related organizations. The Center also participated in ICT Week 2025 and affiliated events, deepening its engagement with Uzbekistan’s evolving IT ecosystem.
