IT Park Uzbekistan Brings Together Uzbek IT Professionals and Entrepreneurs in the Republic of Korea at Tech Compatriots Meetup 2026

The Tech Compatriots Meetup 2026 was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Seoul, bringing together Uzbek IT professionals, engineers, entrepreneurs, and founders of technology projects working and studying in the Republic of Korea.

The meeting was attended by the Uzbek delegation led by Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, as well as Executive Director of IT Park Uzbekistan Jakhongir Radjabov.

The discussions focused on developing a professional community of Uzbek specialists in Korea, strengthening their engagement with Uzbekistan’s IT ecosystem, exchanging international expertise, and exploring opportunities for joint technology initiatives.

Participants were introduced to the IT Park Uzbekistan ecosystem, the conditions available for international IT companies and startups, prospects for the development of artificial intelligence and innovative technologies, investment opportunities, and key areas of international cooperation.

Particular attention was given to the Global Partner Network initiative, which aims to engage professionals and partners abroad in promoting Uzbekistan’s technology ecosystem. Through such tracks as Tech Ambassador, Bonus System, Digital Champion, and VC Scouting, participants can contribute to attracting export-oriented companies, promoting Uzbek IT solutions among international clients, and building connections between startups and foreign investors.

The Tech Compatriots Meetup brought together 10 professionals and entrepreneurs representing international technology companies and their own projects. Among them were engineers and experts from NVIDIA, Coupang, SendBird, STRATIO, ThunderSoft, Salmon Group, Salm Corp, and i2max, as well as founders and representatives of Azan Market, Mango Market, Kaja Games, ZaminTwin.ai, Comets, and Devex Academy.

The participants work across a broad range of areas, including artificial intelligence, computer vision, autonomous driving, software engineering, information security, fintech, GameDev, e-commerce, and cloud infrastructure.

In particular, Uzbek professionals are involved in developing autonomous driving solutions within NVIDIA DRIVE, working on security infrastructure at Coupang, developing AI solutions and software products at international technology companies, and building their own startups in computer vision, game development, and e-commerce.

An open discussion formed a separate part of the meeting, during which participants discussed the development of Uzbekistan’s digital economy, current initiatives in artificial intelligence, changes in the E-Government sector, opportunities offered by the Enterprise Uzbekistan platform, as well as government support mechanisms for compatriots related to visa matters and professional engagement with Uzbekistan.

The discussion also covered practical aspects of adapting to the Republic of Korea’s labor market, including improving Korean language proficiency and achieving deeper integration into the local business and technology environment.

Participants exchanged views on expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea in technology and digital services, involving compatriots in technology projects in Uzbekistan, and developing sustainable professional connections.

Following the meeting, the participants discussed further steps toward systematic engagement with Uzbek IT professionals in the Republic of Korea, promoting Uzbekistan’s digital ecosystem internationally, and launching new joint initiatives.

Tech Compatriots Meetup 2026 served as a platform for strengthening ties among Uzbek professionals in the Republic of Korea and building a professional community capable of contributing to the exchange of international expertise, the development of technology projects, and broader IT cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
