    Azamat Karamatov appointed CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan

    Azamat Karamatov has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of IT Park Uzbekistan. Previously, this position was held by Abdulakhad Kuchkarov. 


    As CEO, Azamat Odilovich will be responsible for strategic tasks such as developing the country's information technology sector, supporting the startup and venture ecosystem, the activities of IT Park members, increasing exports of IT services and products, and attracting international technology companies to Uzbekistan. He will also coordinate efforts to ensure the effectiveness of IT Park's operations, develop innovative projects, and implement initiatives in the digital economy. 


     

    Azamat Karamatov completed his bachelor's and master's degrees at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies between 2007 and 2013. From 2016 to 2018, he was a student at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

     

    Throughout his professional career, he has held various positions in the digital technology sector, including leadership roles at the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and has also gained significant experience in the private sector. During this time, he accumulated extensive expertise in developing IT infrastructure, improving the legal and regulatory framework, implementing innovative projects, supporting startups, and attracting investments. 

     

    Prior to his new appointment, he served as the CEO of IT Park Ventures LLC, a subsidiary of IT Park Uzbekistan. Under his leadership, the fund built one of the largest startup portfolios in the region, initiated the process of creating joint venture funds with international partners, and co-authored programs aimed at talent development, entrepreneurship support, helping startups enter global markets, and strengthening the innovation ecosystem. 

     

    IT Park Uzbekistan also introduced its updated leadership team: 

     

    • First Deputy Director General - Radjabov Jahongir Ixtiyor o‘g‘li; 
    • Director for Resident Affairs -  Xudayev Lazizbek Ibrohimovich; 
    • Director for Strategic Development - Muksinova Mahliyoxon Azizjon qizi; 
    • Director for Inclusive Development - Miralimova Dilafruz Abdulla qizi; 
    • Director for Regional Development - Abdullayev A'zam Abdushukurovich. 

     

    The new leadership team will serve to further enhance the activities of IT Park Uzbekistan, increase IT service exports, develop the startup ecosystem, and strengthen the country's competitiveness in the global technology arena.

    GBSF 2025 outcomes: Uzbekistan strengthens its status as an IT hub

    Tashkent hosted the Global Business Services Forum 2025 (GBSF 2025), one of the most prominent events of the year in the field of IT outsourcing and digital services. Organized by IT Park Uzbekistan with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the event convened approximately 450 participants representing 260 companies, including 237 international companies from 40 countries. Among the attendees were representatives of multinational corporations, startups, government agencies, and venture capital funds.
