On November 2, 2025, the regional stage of The 2025 ICPC Uzbekistan Regional Contest, the largest student programming competition in the country, was held in Tashkent. The event took place at School 21 and brought together more than 600 participants representing 32 universities across Uzbekistan.
The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is a globally recognized competition in competitive programming that annually unites over 73,000 students and 12,000 coaches from 3,400 universities in 103 countries.
The regional stage in Uzbekistan was organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, IT Park Uzbekistan, and ITPU, with support from Uzcard and School 21, which acted as the platinum sponsors of the event. This year’s competition featured 202 teams, including 80 from regional universities, underscoring the growing significance of IT education in developing the nation’s human capital and nurturing a skilled workforce.
According to the organizers, ICPC Uzbekistan 2025 served as an important platform for supporting talented young programmers and fostering a generation of specialists capable of working with cutting-edge technologies and developing innovative solutions.
Following the results of the competition, the first place was awarded to the team “Unexpected Ones” from the Tashkent University of Humanities. The second place went to the team “Don’t Panic” from the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, while the third place was taken by “Three Dinosaurs” from the New Uzbekistan University.

Teams ranked 4th to 9th also received monetary prizes and medals, with the support of IT Park Uzbekistan.
The winners of ICPC Uzbekistan will represent the country in the semifinals of the ICPC World Championship. In preparation, IT Park, in cooperation with its partners, will organize training bootcamps and mentorship programs aimed at enhancing participants’ algorithmic thinking and teamwork skills.
ICPC Uzbekistan 2025 reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s commitment to strengthening its position in technological education and cultivating a new generation of professionals who will contribute to the digital development of Uzbekistan.
