IT Park Uzbekistan and Ori Group initiated joint projects

Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director, held a meeting with a Chinese delegation from Ori Group, headed by Feng Qian, Chairman of the Board of Directors. The delegation also included Samantha Lu, Head of the International Relations Department, and Djavlon Kamalov, Director of PROART. The parties considered prospects for launching digital and gaming projects, advancing educational initiatives, and attracting Chinese technologies and investments to Uzbekistan.

Ori Group is among China’s leading companies in the creative industries, established in 2006. Its ecosystem encompasses animation, film and television, gaming and esports, as well as international educational programs, cultural heritage preservation projects, fashion, and cultural tourism. Today, Ori Group maintains partnerships with more than 70 countries worldwide, developing sustainable international cooperation and actively engaging in global industry events.

In 2024, the company signed an agreement to launch a gaming platform and ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, with investments of $100 million and plans to expand its team to 300 specialists within three years, targeting projected revenues of $1 billion within five years. In addition, Ori Group invested $200 million in infrastructure development in the UAE, annually exports gaming content worth $60 million, implements cultural and educational projects with partners across the Middle East, and advances initiatives in Africa to promote digital cultural industries on a global scale.

During the meeting, particular attention was devoted to education. The parties expressed readiness to explore new educational initiatives, including short-term intensive programs, knowledge exchange, and internships in IT, animation, and game development.

Representatives of IT Park also presented the organization’s activities, with a particular focus on projects in the gaming sector. The Chinese delegation demonstrated strong interest in the opportunities for establishing companies in Uzbekistan, seeking information on infrastructure and business conditions, recruitment processes, member support programs, and talent acquisition mechanisms.

Ori Group further expressed interest in locally developed games and in facilitating their entry into the global market, beginning with the MENA region.

Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director of IT Park, provided a detailed overview of the available opportunities, including the One Stop Shop service, the IT Visa program, and other support measures. She also proposed enhancing cooperation in IT education.

Another important aspect of the meeting was the establishment of offices and the implementation of joint projects in the field of game development.

Collaboration with Ori Group will strengthen the position of IT Park Uzbekistan within the creative economy and gaming industry, provide access to an extensive international network of partners, accelerate talent development through joint educational programs, and expand the export of creative IT services.
