IT Park presented the advantages of Uzbekistan for foreign companies at the Asia Business Conference in the USA

On April 6th, the 18th annual Asia Business Conference was convened at the Berkeley Haas School of Business in the USA. Representing Central Eurasia this year were IT Park Uzbekistan, Silkroad Innovation Hub, and Astana Hub.

 

 

The Asia Business Conference stands as a significant event, gathering together entrepreneurs and professionals developing the business environment in Asia. This year, the conference was held under the motto “Rising Asia: Shaping the Moment, Navigating Challenges and Opportunities.” The event was dedicated to exploring the impact of new technologies in the Asia-Pacific region.

 

 

During the panel session titled “Emerging Technologies and Entrepreneurship in Central Eurasia,” speakers included Sultonmurod Rasulov, Head of the North American Region Department at IT Park Uzbekistan, and Aset Abdualiev, Founder of Silkroad Innovation Hub, among others.

 

Sultonmurod Rasulov underscored that Uzbekistan has ascended as a new IT outsourcing hub, highlighting that the country has established all necessary conditions for the development of BPO.

 

 

He emphasized that IT Park is poised to engage with major global companies, providing ready-made solutions and conducive conditions, encompassing infrastructure, governmental backing, legislation adhering to international standards, a talented English-speaking workforce, high-quality IT education, a free economic zone, tax and customs incentives, alongside other unparalleled benefits.

 

 

He disclosed that currently, over 1,900 companies hold the resident status of IT Park, with more than 300 among them being foreign entities. Furthermore, he highlighted that foreign companies, upon becoming residents of IT Park, are relieved from all types of taxes, with the exception of a 7.5% income tax. Moreover, he mentioned IT Parkʼs novel initiative — Zero Risk program. Under this program, foreign enterprises establishing offices in Uzbekistanʼs regions are provided with complimentary office spaces, technical equipment for more than 100 employees, partial compensation for employee salaries, mentoring expenditures, and personnel management services for a year.
