From March 23 to 27, Palo Alto and San Francisco hosted Global Tech Weekend — a series of events that brought together startup founders, investors, and representatives of the tech industry.
As part of the program, Silkroad Innovation Hub, a partner of IT Park Uzbekistan, together with Uzbek product companies, introduced the international community to the country’s opportunities and the IT Park Uzbekistan ecosystem.
On March 26, a panel session dedicated to the development of emerging tech ecosystems took place. Participants discussed how infrastructure, professional communities, and investment opportunities are formed, as well as the tools that help integrate local markets into the global tech environment. Among the speakers were Timur Ganiev, CEO and founder of Mirasoft, and Shokhruh Ibragimov, a representative of Silkroad Innovation Hub.
During the discussion, IT Park Uzbekistan was highlighted as one of the key entry points for international companies looking to enter the Uzbek market. The speakers shared insights into opportunities for launching and scaling businesses in the country, as well as the support available to foreign companies.
A separate part of the program included business meetings with investors, entrepreneurs, and company executives from Silicon Valley. This format enabled direct networking and helped showcase Uzbekistan’s potential to a highly experienced professional audience.
The participation of IT Park Uzbekistan’s partners in such international initiatives contributes to promoting the country on a global stage and attracting attention to the opportunities for developing tech businesses in Uzbekistan.
