Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference in China: Bridging Chinese Business and Uzbekistan's IT Ecosystem

The Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference, organized by IT Park Uzbekistan, took place in Shanghai, showcasing global business opportunities emerging in the country. The event attracted participation from representatives of Shanghai's IT industry, business associations, and a notable interest from the Chinese business community, marking it as a significant step toward strengthening bilateral relations in the IT services sector between Uzbekistan and China.

The event was inaugurated by the Consul of Uzbekistan in Shanghai, Mr. Khamidjon Rakhmanov. His opening remarks set the tone for a substantive session, highlighting Uzbekistan's key advantages, such as its strategic geopolitical location, long-standing economic cooperation with China, and its young, highly qualified workforce.

Uzbekistan boasts a critical resource — an educated workforce of 21 million people of working age, among whom 5 million are proficient in English, and 10,000 are fluent in Chinese. This human capital positions Uzbekistan as an ideal location for companies seeking to expand their outsourcing operations. This unique combination makes Uzbekistan an attractive destination for companies looking to grow their outsourcing and service operations.

Furthermore, Uzbekistan presented unprecedented government support programs, including "Zero Risk", "Softlanding", and "Regional HQ". These initiatives allow organizations focused on rapid scaling to allocate their resources to priority business objectives while entering Uzbekistan's promising IT sector with minimal risk.

Additionally, more than 800 companies are currently registered as member exporters at IT Park Uzbekistan, ready to collaborate on IT and outsourcing projects targeting the Chinese market.

Yuri Karp, Regional Manager of BIPO, shared his successful experience of conducting business in Uzbekistan at the conference. In his speech, he highlighted Uzbekistan's immense potential and its vital role in the global outsourcing market. Thanks to the country's political stability, government support, favorable business environment, and a large pool of talented professionals, IT-enabled services companies can quickly scale and efficiently serve international clients.

Conferences like this play a crucial role in strengthening Uzbekistan's position as a promising outsourcing destination on the global stage. They create new opportunities for job creation, attract investment, and foster the exchange of professional expertise, thereby contributing to the country's economic development and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens.
