The Minister of Digital Technologies discussed startup development and IT project support with the youth of Surkhandarya

The Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, held an open meeting with the youth of the Surkhandarya region at the Surkhandarya branch of IT Park Uzbekistan. The dialogue brought together young entrepreneurs, startup enthusiasts, and young people interested in the IT sector.

During the meeting, participants asked questions about industry development, startup support, opportunities for obtaining grants and investments, residency conditions at IT Park Uzbekistan, entering export markets, and mastering modern digital professions. The Minister provided detailed answers and spoke about the existing mechanisms of state support, as well as the priority areas for the sector’s development.

Special attention was given to initiatives and projects proposed by the region’s youth. The discussion covered systematic support for promising ideas, involvement in mentorship and incubation programs, and the creation of conditions for scaling local IT solutions.

The open format of the meeting allowed participants to directly voice their proposals and receive feedback from the industry leadership. Such meetings strengthen the role of IT Park Uzbekistan in the regions, contribute to identifying new projects, and support the formation of a sustainable IT ecosystem in Uzbekistan, focused on export growth and the country’s technological development.
