    The IT Park Office in Korea Continues to Strengthen Bilateral Partnerships in the IT Sector

    The representative office of IT Park Uzbekistan in Seoul remains steadfast in its efforts to establish Uzbekistan as an emerging IT hub by holding meetings with prominent IT companies and showcasing the nation’s potential for fostering technological collaboration between Uzbekistan and South Korea. 

     

    Nodirbek Berdikobilov, the official representative of IT Park in Korea, conducted meetings with key figures in the IT industry, highlighting business opportunities, prospects for joint projects, and avenues for integrating Korean enterprises into Uzbekistan’s IT ecosystem.   

     

    Meetings with Companies in Chungnam Province

     

     

    Future Tech, Pion, Proe, and Innobase — renowned companies based in Chungnam Province, South Korea — are engaged in the development and provision of software solutions across diverse sectors. For instance, Future Tech is celebrated for its innovations in smart streetlighting systems, IT-based illumination solutions, and sensor software, all of which contribute to enhancing urban infrastructure and energy efficiency.    

     

    During discussions with representatives of these companies, Nodirbek Berdikobilov provided detailed insights into the opportunities available for foreign investors and enterprises in Uzbekistan. He emphasized the substantial pool of highly skilled IT professionals proficient in the Korean language and the favorable environment for advancing high-tech projects in collaboration with international partners. 

     

    As part of these discussions, Future Tech, Pion, Proe, and Innobase expressed significant interest in establishing a joint IT company in Uzbekistan, which will serve as a back-office, managing IT operations with the support of local talent. This collaboration is anticipated to represent a pivotal step in deepening bilateral relations between the two nations and unlocking new pathways for Uzbekistan in technology and innovation.  

     

    JSmartSolution 

     

    The IT Park office in Seoul hosted a meeting with representatives of JSmartSolution, a company specializing in providing intelligent management solutions for manufacturing facilities. Currently, the company employs 45 professionals, with its turnover in 2023 amounting to $16 million. 

     

     

    The primary focus of the discussions was the presentation of the Zero Risk program, designed to enable foreign companies to establish offices in Uzbekistan with minimal costs. The representative of JSmartSolution expressed interest in opening an office in Uzbekistan, citing the favorable business environment and promising prospects for further development. 

     

    KITC 

     

    Nodirbek Berdikobilov held a productive meeting with Mr. Kaem Chayu, Executive Director of the South Korean IT consulting company KITC. During the discussions, the parties explored prospects for collaboration and opportunities to expand business ties between Uzbekistan and South Korea in the field of information technology. 

     

     

    KITC, a leading IT consulting company in South Korea, has established a strong international presence by delivering high-quality consulting and technological solutions. The company employs 99 highly skilled professionals, with its turnover in 2023 reaching $15 million. Over the years, KITC has demonstrated its reliability as a partner by successfully completing four major consulting projects in Uzbekistan, underscoring its strong interest in further collaboration in the region. 

     

    The company expressed readiness to actively cooperate with Uzbekistan, including assisting in attracting South Korean ITes companies and initiating joint projects in technology and innovation. Furthermore, KITC affirmed its intention to consider opening its branch office in Uzbekistan, aiming to enhance collaboration, expand its presence in the Uzbek market, and create additional opportunities for the development of the country's technological sector. 

     

    Smart Solutions 2024 

    Nodirbek Berdikobilov actively participated in the Smart Solutions 2024 conference held in South Korea. The event brought together approximately 90 leading companies specializing in advanced and promising fields such as IT, smart farming, artificial intelligence, smart factories, and other innovative solutions. These companies showcased their achievements and shared experiences in the development and implementation of cutting-edge IT solutions that are transforming industries and promoting sustainable growth. 

     

     

    During the conference, the representative of IT Park Uzbekistan in South Korea engaged directly with company representatives, emphasizing the significant opportunities Uzbekistan offers to international partners in technology and innovation. He highlighted the importance of active cooperation with South Korean technology leaders and the unique prospects Uzbekistan provides for implementing joint projects in IT, artificial intelligence, smart factories, and agriculture. 

     

    As a result of these interactions, agreements were reached to continue dialogue and deepen collaboration with several major and promising South Korean IT companies, including ILJINHOLDINGS, WonJin Solutions, Koolon Venit, Kbridge, and RISTI. These companies expressed interest in developing joint initiatives with Uzbekistan and exploring investment opportunities, paving the way for technological progress and the growth of the startup ecosystem in the country. 

     

    DX Campus Conference 

     

    Nodirbek Berdikobilov also participated in the prominent DX Campus Conference held in Seoul. This large-scale event was organized by KOIIA, a leading institution fostering the development and adoption of digital technologies in industrial sectors. The conference brought together experts and industry leaders specializing in digital transformation, robotics, automation, and other innovative technologies reshaping modern business practices. 

     

    During the event, Mr. Berdikobilov actively engaged in discussions and sessions on digital technologies and highlighted the opportunities and prospects Uzbekistan offers to international partners in technology and innovation. Furthermore, significant agreements were reached for further cooperation with leading South Korean companies such as PoweAuto Robotics, T3 Solution, UVC, The Salt, and EMRO. These companies, specializing in advanced developments in robotics, process automation, and green technologies, expressed interest in exploring the potential of establishing back offices in Uzbekistan. 

     

    Shinest 

     

     

    A meeting was also held in South Korea with Mr. Kim Yong Chan, Director of Security at Shinest. In light of the company’s successful experience and growing opportunities in Central Asia, Shinest has announced plans to open an office in Uzbekistan in the near future. 

     

    This decision will unlock new business opportunities for the company and strengthen its partnerships with technological and innovative organizations in Uzbekistan. Shinest aims to foster mutually beneficial cooperation in the IT sector and launch joint projects, further reinforcing Uzbekistan's role in the international technological ecosystem. 

     

    Shinest is an innovative technology company specializing in advanced solutions in artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud technologies. In 2023, its turnover reached an impressive $10 million, reflecting its stable growth and successful operations in international markets. The company employs 55 professionals and serves prominent clients such as Kookmin Bank, LG Electronics, Naver Cloud, BeeTok, Wallet, Sugar Link, and others. 

     

    Solutec (Solution Technology) 

     

    A meeting was held with representatives of Solutec, a company that has established itself as a successful player in the field of technology and innovative solutions. Solutec operates offices in countries such as Rwanda and Laos, where it actively develops projects and provides high-tech solutions for various industries. In 2023, the company reported a turnover of $11.3 million with 31 employees, underscoring its steady growth and successful international operations. Its clientele includes major global corporations such as GS Shop, KT Telecom, Doosan, SK Telecom, Korea Economics Newspaper, Hyundai Glovis, KEB Hana Bank, and Nuhyup Bank. 

     

    During the meeting, Solutec representatives expressed keen interest in expanding their presence in the Central Asian markets via Uzbekistan. They discussed prospects for opening a new office in the country and praised Uzbekistan's potential for advancing high-tech projects. The company is committed to fostering active collaboration with local partners and plans to visit Uzbekistan in the near future for additional negotiations and finalizing its decision on opening a branch. 

     

    Recognizing Uzbekistan as a strategically important market for foreign investors in technology and innovation, Solutec considers establishing a local office as a pivotal step in expanding its regional influence. IT Park Uzbekistan actively supports such initiatives by offering favorable business conditions, including access to highly qualified personnel, well-developed infrastructure, and opportunities for collaboration with public and private institutions in digital technology and innovation. 

     

    The establishment of IT Park Uzbekistan's representative office in Seoul and its participation in a series of international events, such as Smart Solutions 2024 and the DX Campus Conference, demonstrate Uzbekistan’s strategic focus on expanding its presence on the global technology stage.
