As part of the AlmatyFair.ai artificial intelligence exhibition in Almaty, a strategic trilateral memorandum was signed between IT Park Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan’s Astana Hub, and China’s Growth Vision Pro Ltd. The agreement, endorsed by Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, Magzhan Madiyev, CEO of Astana Hub, and Lazzat Borankulova, Director of Growth Vision Pro, lays the groundwork for the establishment of an International Hub — a dedicated platform designed to support startups and IT companies from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in their expansion into the Chinese market.
Strategic Objectives of the International Hub
According to Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, the strategic alliance between IT Park Uzbekistan and Astana Hub — Central Asian Innovation Hubs — has already yielded tangible results, with over 40 companies from both countries successfully presenting their projects at Web Summit 2024 and TechCrunch Disrupt 2024. The International Hub will further enhance these efforts by facilitating access to Chinese accelerators, mentorship programs, and investment opportunities for IT Park members.
Growth Vision Pro will facilitate engagement with China’s leading technology clusters, particularly in Shenzhen and Beijing. "China is not just a vast market; it is a hub of cutting-edge technologies. Our objective is to unlock these opportunities for Central Asian startups," emphasized Lazzat Borankulova.
The signing of this memorandum marks a significant milestone in the development of the regional IT ecosystem. This initiative will solidify Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan’s positions as emerging innovation hubs while facilitating their integration into global technology value chains. In the coming months, the stakeholders will commence the implementation of a detailed roadmap, which includes the organization of business delegations to China and the launch of pilot acceleration programs for startups.
