Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Deputy CEO for Resident Relations Lazizbek Khudayev, held a meeting with the Silicon Village team headed by CEO Abid Kabir Chima. Following the negotiations, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding.
The document is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two innovation ecosystems and expanding international opportunities for startups.
Silicon Village is a technology initiative based in Pakistan, with its center in Islamabad. It develops infrastructure for startups and tech companies by bringing together workspaces, partnerships, and access to professional communities.
The parties agreed to exchange experience in supporting startups, incubation and acceleration programs, as well as in the commercialization of technologies. They also discussed joint projects focused on fostering entrepreneurship and the digital environment.
Special attention was given to organizing joint events, including seminars, forums, exhibitions, and roadshows. Among the priorities are supporting startups in entering new markets and strengthening connections between the ecosystems.
The partnership also covers areas such as digital transformation, emerging technologies, talent development, and dialogue on innovation policy. The agreement is expected to open up additional opportunities for startups on both sides.
