Accesa Considers Uzbekistan as a New Location for its Outsourcing Business

 

IT Park Uzbekistan hosted talks with Paul Chipchigan, Head of Growth Management and Engineering at Accesa. The purpose of the visit was to explore the opportunities of the IT sector in Uzbekistan with the aim of opening an outsourcing office in the country.

 

Accesa is a leading technology company headquartered in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with offices in Orade, Bucharest and Timisoara. The company employs over 1,200 people and generates an annual revenue exceeding $500 million. For over 20 years, Accesa has successfully transformed business challenges into growth opportunities. The company operates across industries such as retail, manufacturing, finance, and banking, providing full-cycle digital transformation from ideation and requirement development to software creation.

 

 

During the meeting, significant attention was given to government support programs for technology companies, IT-VISA, and the residency acquisition process. An overview of salaries in Uzbekistan, cost projections for development over the next 24 months, and legal nuances including double taxation avoidance agreements, intellectual property protection, and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliance were also presented. “IT Bilim” offered to conduct a deeper analysis of the labor market according to Accesaʼs needs, recruitment methods, and the overall market situation, and talked about the opportunities for support in recruiting qualified professionals from the organization.

 

 

The visit continued with introductions to some of the IT Park residents. On the first day, Paul Chipchigan visited Real Soft to discuss potential collaboration and development opportunities. The second day featured meetings with representatives from UIC, Unicon, and MAAB Group. These meetings provided a detailed examination of prospects, insights into local companiesʼ perspectives on their operations and business advantages in the country, and identified further steps to strengthen partnerships.

 

Paul Chipchiganʼs visit marked a significant step towards strengthening international collaboration and advancing the IT industry in the region. Both parties expressed confidence in the successful continuation of the initiated negotiations and the implementation of joint projects, which in the long run will contribute to the substantial growth of Uzbekistanʼs IT sector and enhance the countryʼs export performance in IT outsourcing.
