IT Park Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan's IT Leaders Discuss Joint Projects at Smart Point Almaty

A delegation from the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and IT Park Uzbekistan held negotiations with OSON and BILLZ, and conducted working meetings with leading Kazakh IT companies at the Smart Point Almaty innovation hub. The event represented a key milestone in strengthening regional cooperation and fostering a unified technological ecosystem.

    OSON

The discussions were attended by Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, and Amir Mansurov, Director of IT Park’s Tashkent branch.

The discussions centered on OSON’s recent achievements, particularly following the successful launch of its representative office in Almaty in 2023. The company presented key results of its operations in Kazakhstan, including client base expansion, successful business cases, and growing partnerships within the region.

Additionally, OSON representatives outlined their strategic roadmap for 2025–2026, emphasizing ambitious expansion plans and efforts to strengthen their international presence. Particular focus was placed on entering new markets within the CIS region, including Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

    BILLZ

During the delegation's visit to Almaty, a meeting was held at the Smart Point innovation center with BILLZ — a company founded in Uzbekistan and now actively operating in the Kazakhstani market.

BILLZ is a leading digital retail management platform for businesses, expanding its presence in Kazakhstan. The meeting covered the company’s recent achievements, client growth, partnership projects, and innovative services.

BILLZ’s success in Kazakhstan highlights the export potential, technological maturity, and global competitiveness of Uzbek IT companies.

IT Park Uzbekistan praised the company’s international progress and discussed support mechanisms to strengthen regional cooperation.

Working Meetings with IT Companies at Smart Point Almaty

Smart Point Almaty is a premier coworking and IT hub within the Almaty Towers business center. The project integrates modern business infrastructure with creative and social initiatives, fostering an ecosystem for startups, IT companies, and freelancers.

    Key Agreements

During the session, discussions were held with representatives from EasyTap, Kwaaka, Sabre, and ioka. Kazakh startups showcased their products, including fintech solutions, cloud-based platforms, and e-commerce automation technologies. Notably, these solutions contribute to the digitalization of logistics chains, AI-driven retail solutions, and the development of payment ecosystems — areas of strategic interest for international technology firms, potentially paving the way for international collaboration.

    Next Steps

The engagements in Almaty reaffirmed the growing interest of Uzbek and Kazakh businesses in pursuing joint technological initiatives and expanding into new markets. This collaboration not only reinforces Central Asia’s position as an emerging global technology hub but also unlocks new opportunities for scaling businesses and establishing a unified digital ecosystem across the region.
