A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IT Park Uzbekistan Farkhod Ibragimov, held a series of meetings with major Australian companies in Sydney as part of the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Session. The purpose of the visit was to foster cooperation with leading players in Australia’s IT sector, attract foreign investment, and promote Uzbekistan’s potential as an emerging regional hub for technological outsourcing.
The Uzbekistan Outsourcing Session, organized on the initiative of IT Park Uzbekistan, served as a key platform for demonstrating the country’s growing potential in the IT and outsourcing industries. The event brought together 35 representatives from 26 companies operating across diverse sectors — including telecommunications, fintech, cybersecurity, and consulting.
The session was opened by the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, who highlighted the prospects for digital cooperation between Uzbekistan and Australia, as well as the ongoing reforms and investment opportunities within the country’s IT sector.
During the presentation, IT Park Uzbekistan outlined the national digital development strategy, advantages available to foreign investors, and initiatives such as the Zero Risk program and the IT Visa for international professionals. Particular emphasis was placed on the country’s strong potential in IT talent development and the range of government incentives offered to technopark members.
In addition to the plenary session, a series of B2B meetings were held with representatives of companies including ISG, Trendspek, Ethikc360, AcclimeIP, ScapeIP, Collagis, LambdaTest, Apptio, Intuit, Garuwa, RTS CloudNet, Grug Consulting, and Pacific Labs.
Following the event, several companies expressed strong interest in collaboration with Uzbekistan, while two — Grug Consulting and Trendspek — announced plans to conduct business visits to the country in the coming months.
In his concluding remarks, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IT Park Uzbekistan Farkhod Ibragimov underscored Uzbekistan’s growing role as a strategic partner for international companies. He emphasized that the country offers highly favorable conditions for IT business development — from tax and visa incentives to advanced infrastructure and robust government support for export-oriented enterprises.
As part of the visit, IT Park Uzbekistan held a number of meetings with Australian companies.
During the meeting with iTelaSoft, COO Ravindra Samarasinghe expressed interest in collaborating with Uzbek IT specialists, particularly those experienced in telecommunications and digital marketing. The parties discussed the potential establishment of an iTelaSoft office in Uzbekistan to serve clients in Europe and the CIS region, which would enable the company to optimize operational costs and leverage IT Park Uzbekistan’s preferential tax regime.
iTelaSoft is a technology company founded in 2009 in Sydney, Australia. It specializes in software development, cloud engineering, IoT, fintech, and digital transformation. The company employs over 150 professionals and generates annual revenue exceeding $23 million. It also maintains an international presence in Sri Lanka, India, and the United Kingdom.
At a meeting with Trendspek CEO Derek Feebrey, the parties discussed the company’s potential entry into the Central Asian market through Uzbekistan. The management of Trendspek expressed interest in localizing part of its operations in the country and providing services from Uzbekistan, taking advantage of its cost efficiency and skilled workforce.
Trendspek is an innovative Australian company specializing in intelligent infrastructure management. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Sydney, its core product — the Precision Asset Intelligence (PAI) platform — uses photogrammetry and drone data to generate detailed 3D models of buildings and infrastructure. The company’s solutions are used in more than 20 countries, with clients including National Grid, the University of Sydney, the University of Melbourne, and PGIM.
During a meeting with ISG Managing Director Himanshu Chawla, the parties agreed to prepare a joint presentation to promote Uzbekistan as a promising IT outsourcing destination. They also discussed the formation of a working group to implement the initiative and develop advisory guidelines for ISG’s international clients on business opportunities in Uzbekistan.

As part of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2025 in Sydney, IT Park Uzbekistan held a series of meetings with international companies operating in the space technology sector.
During a meeting with Axelspace Corporation, company representative Shimpei Nakano expressed interest in outsourcing satellite data labeling and analysis services, particularly for Japan’s agricultural sector. Axelspace is considering collaboration with Uzbek specialists through IT Park Uzbekistan to expand its analytical capacity and reduce operational costs.
Axelspace Corporation is a Japanese company founded in 2008 in Tokyo. It specializes in the development and operation of small satellites and the processing of Earth observation data. The company actively applies space technology in agriculture, infrastructure monitoring, and environmental management, providing clients with high-resolution satellite imagery and analytical services.
During a meeting with CONTEC Earth Service Co., Ltd. CEO Jae-Hyun Baek, the parties discussed the possibility of outsourcing satellite data processing and annotation work to Uzbekistan. The company’s leadership noted that cooperation with IT Park Uzbekistan could enhance operational efficiency and streamline project delivery in collaboration with international partners.
CONTEC Earth Service Co., Ltd. is a South Korean company under CONTEC Space Group, headquartered in Daejeon. The company provides services in satellite communications, data reception, and image processing. Through its global partnerships, CONTEC supports projects in Earth observation, defense, and geospatial analytics.
During discussions with ST Engineering representatives Bhadri Prasad Raman and Chia Kar Wee, the parties explored opportunities to transfer part of the company’s satellite image annotation projects to Uzbekistan. ST Engineering expressed readiness to consider Uzbekistan as a long-term partner in geospatial analytics and space technology.
ST Engineering is one of Singapore’s largest engineering corporations, operating in the aerospace, defense, and information technology sectors. It encompasses divisions such as ST Engineering Satellite Systems and ST Engineering Geo-Insights, providing a full range of services from satellite development to data analytics.
In a meeting with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) engineer Im Seong-hui, the company expressed interest in data analytics and ground-segment support services for satellite systems. The parties discussed potential collaboration with Uzbek IT specialists, including training programs and joint research initiatives under IT Park Uzbekistan.
Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) is South Korea’s leading aerospace corporation, founded in 1999 and headquartered in Gyeongsangnam-do Province. The company designs and manufactures military and civilian aircraft and satellite systems and conducts advanced research in aerospace technology. KAI actively collaborates with international agencies and develops satellite navigation and Earth observation solutions.
During a meeting with 4 Earth Intelligence (4EI) manager Kanchana Bandaranayake, the parties discussed a project involving the labeling of road and navigation signs for the UAE government. They considered delegating part of the work to Uzbek specialists and forming a long-term partnership in satellite analytics and AI-driven geospatial data processing.

It implements government and commercial projects in urban planning, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure development. Its clients include government agencies and international organizations throughout the Middle East.
Additionally, a meeting was held with representatives of NASA’s HUNCH program, which engages students in real-world engineering projects for NASA. The parties discussed launching the initiative in Uzbekistan, enabling Uzbek students and schoolchildren to participate in international STEM projects and gain practical experience in the aerospace sector.
The visit of IT Park Uzbekistan to Australia demonstrated the high level of international interest in collaboration with Uzbekistan. The meetings laid a foundation for long-term partnerships aimed at developing IT outsourcing, attracting investment, and facilitating the exchange of expertise. This visit marked an important milestone in strengthening Uzbekistan’s position as a rapidly developing technological hub in the region.
