    Uzbekistan Strengthens Position as IT Hub: Over 280 Export-Oriented Companies Join IT Park in Five Months

    From January to May 2025, IT Park Uzbekistan welcomed 636 new member companies, reflecting sustained interest in the country as an emerging global IT hub. Among these, 369 companies were registered in Tashkent, while 267 operate in regional areas, demonstrating the ongoing digital transformation and technological advancement across the nation.

    Growth in Digital Services Export

    Particularly noteworthy is the significant proportion of export-oriented companies — 284 members plan to deliver services abroad, including 117 foreign enterprises. Tashkent-based exporters aim to generate over $46 million in export revenue, while regional companies target more than $31 million. These figures underscore the IT sector’s contribution to the country’s foreign currency inflows and digital economy development.

    Profile of Export-Oriented Members

    Member companies are actively engaged in four key sectors:

    • IT services (142 companies, 72 foreign);
    • BPO (87 companies, 19 foreign);
    • Service-based solutions (33 companies, 16 foreign);
    • Game development and creative industries (22 companies, 10 foreign).

    Sustained Interest from Foreign Investors

    International investor confidence remains strong, with 164 foreign-capital companies joining IT Park since the beginning of the year. The geographic reach now extends to 61 countries, including new entrants such as Jordan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Liechtenstein, New Zealand, and Norway.

    Expanding Global Footprint: Focus on Asia and Europe

    Significant growth has been observed from several countries: the number of Japanese member companies has doubled, Chinese companies increased by 71%, Turkish by 133%, and Azerbaijani by 67%. These trends highlight Uzbekistan’s growing attractiveness as an IT destination for global businesses.

    Emergence of New BPO and Service Formats

    There is a marked increase in the proportion of BPO and service-oriented companies that are expanding their portfolios to include more complex and high-value-added services, such as educational consulting, business analytics, preparation of technical documentation, and statistical data processing — a testament to the growing expertise of Uzbek teams.

    New Members in May

    In May 2025 alone, 116 new companies joined IT Park, bringing the total number of members to 2,846. Among them, 51 companies are export-oriented, including 22 with foreign capital. These include firms from the United States, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, France, Jordan, Romania, Spain, Iran, and Pakistan.

    Their business activities are distributed as follows:

    • 23 companies engaged in BPO and related services;
    • 17 companies focused on IT product development;
    • 7 companies providing IT services;
    • 4 companies operating within the creative industries.

    In regional branches of IT Park, 17 companies were granted export-oriented member status in May, 7 of which have foreign ownership. These entities are expected to create over 235 new jobs and generate export volumes exceeding $2.6 million.

    Among the newly registered IT Park members with foreign capital are technology companies delivering export-oriented services in the fields of artificial intelligence, engineering, BPO, and EdTech. Their operational geography spans Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.

    OSYSTEMS (Spain, Jordan) is implementing a proprietary program for the development, training, and deployment of autonomous AI models, with a focus on data analytics for clients in Jordan, Qatar, and the United States.

    FORTIS INSTRUMENTS SOUTH (France) delivers specialized engineering services in radiation monitoring, contributing deep technological expertise to the French market.

    HUCORP GLOBAL (South Korea) focuses on the localization and export of educational content to Korea, actively contributing to the global EdTech discourse.

    EUROANSWER (Romania) provides comprehensive BPO solutions — including technical support and customer service — to clients across Western Europe, such as Germany, France, Spain, and Italy.

    UNITLAB AI (USA) offers a proprietary data annotation platform powered by AI-driven auto-labeling models and workflow management tools. The company outsources services to Germany, Australia, and France.

    The results of the first five months of 2025 clearly indicate that Uzbekistan is steadily reinforcing its position on the global IT landscape as a country offering a favorable ecosystem for launching and scaling technology businesses. The growing number of export-oriented companies and the increasing presence of foreign capital among IT Park members underscore the confidence of international investors and enterprises. The continued expansion into regional markets and the evolution of service offerings signal a transition of Uzbekistan’s IT sector to a new stage of maturity.
