Uzbekistan and France strengthen partnership in outsourcing and startup development

IT Park Uzbekistan hosted a meeting between Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park, and Aurelia Bouchez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan. The parties discussed expanding cooperation with French companies and startup ecosystems.

 

Discussions focused on key areas of collaboration between France and Uzbekistan in the field of information and communication technologies. IT Park’s management provided an overview of the organization’s operations, ongoing initiatives, and French member companies. Discussions also covered the potential for cooperation with Station F, one of Europe’s largest startup hubs.

 

 

Station F, located in Paris, is the largest startup campus in Europe. It is home to over one thousand startups, as well as leading accelerators, venture capital funds, business angels, and major corporate partners. Major international firms such as Facebook, Microsoft, and Ubisoft maintain a presence at the campus, alongside prominent French and international incubators. Establishing cooperation with Station F is expected to unlock new prospects for Uzbek startups, including access to international acceleration programs, integration into the European market, and investment attraction.

 

 

The parties also discussed initiatives aimed at supporting women in the ICT sector. In October 2024, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the international French organization Women in Tech. Within the framework of this agreement, a number of initiatives have been launched to enhance the professional skills of women and girls in the IT sector, support their employment in export-oriented companies, and promote female-led startups in international markets.    

 

 

Furthermore, collaboration between the two countries continues to evolve through various formats. In April 2025, IT Park Uzbekistan and the French-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFO) signed a memorandum of understanding. In June 2025, IT Park representatives participated in Viva Technology 2025, Europe’s premier technology exhibitions. On June 17, with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France, Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference was held in Paris — providing a strategic platform for promoting Uzbekistan’s IT sector and establishing direct dialogue with the French business community.
