Official Opening of the Korean Faculty AKITA

 

The Academy of the Korean IT Alliance (AKITA), a new Korean-style IT faculty established in collaboration with the Korea Institute of International Industrial Cooperation (KIIIC) and the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, has officially opened its doors. The institution was created with the support of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Digital Technologies.

 

 

At the opening ceremony, Farkhod Ibragimov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, delivered a congratulatory address, emphasizing that the establishment of AKITA represents a significant step in strengthening ties between Uzbekistan and Korea, as well as in fostering innovative technologies within the country.

 

 

The opening ceremony also featured speeches from Jong Ok Rae, Chairman of KIIIC and AKITA; Uskenbay Atemov, Governor of Yukorichirchik District; Olimjon Tuychiev, Rector of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent; Kwon Yong Jin, Member of the Korean National Assembly; and Muzaffar Jalalov, Rector of INHA University in Tashkent.

 

 

The event also featured presentations of the faculty's programs and the teaching staff at AKITA. The academy aims to introduce educational innovations in Uzbekistan by training global IT specialists according to the Korean university model and adhering to international standards. Students at AKITA will have access to cutting-edge technologies and an innovative educational environment, working on real projects to develop practical skills.

The curriculum covers five key disciplines aimed at preparing highly qualified IT specialists. Graduates will be eligible for well-paid positions in Korean outsourcing companies, thereby enhancing Uzbekistan's export potential and strengthening their qualifications and portfolios.

 

 

Furthermore, the Uzbek-Korean IT Business Alliance, established by IT Park Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Korea Institute of International Industrial Cooperation, will foster cooperation in the IT sector between the two countries and support the development of the IT industry in the region by engaging AKITA graduates.
