On May 20, 2025, StartupBlink unveiled its latest edition of the Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2025, the most comprehensive assessment of the global startup landscape to date. The report ranks 1,400 cities and 110 countries, highlighting leading innovation-driven ecosystems worldwide. The index is developed in collaboration with prominent global data partners, including Crunchbase, Semrush, and over 100 public sector institutions.

In a milestone achievement, Uzbekistan entered the global Top 100 startup ecosystems for the first time in 2025, demonstrating record-breaking progress. The country was recognized as the fastest-growing startup hub in Central Asia and one of the most dynamic emerging ecosystems globally.

Key Highlights for Uzbekistan’s Startup Ecosystem in 2025

    1. Uzbekistan secured 98th position globally, marking its first-ever appearance in the Top 100. The national ecosystem recorded growth of over 132%, the highest rate in Central Asia and the second-highest worldwide.
    2. Regionally, Uzbekistan improved its position in Asia, climbing to 17th place, reflecting its third consecutive year of upward movement in the region.
    3. Within Central Asia, Uzbekistan now ranks second, surpassing Kyrgyzstan.
    4. Tashkent was recognized as the fastest-growing city in Central Asia, with ecosystem growth reaching 132%, according to the Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2025. The city entered the global Top 400 for the first time, ranking 350th, and continues to strengthen its position as a regional startup hub.

With robust support from IT Park Uzbekistan, progressive government initiatives, and a highly skilled workforce, the country is attracting increased interest from global investors and technology companies.
