IT Park Uzbekistan participated in the annual conference “Innovation in Global Growth Markets: Prosperity through Entrepreneurship,” hosted by the MIT Kuo Sharper Center for Prosperity and Entrepreneurship, highlighting Uzbekistan’s growing role as a fast-emerging technology ecosystem on the global stage.
Held on April 22–23, the two-day program reflected multiple layers of Uzbekistan’s integration into international innovation ecosystems - from contributing to global AI dialogue to creating direct pathways for startups to enter the U.S. market.
On Day 1, Abdulakhad Kuchkarov joined the panel session “Rewriting the Rules: Machine Learning Built by and for the World’s Majority,” contributing Uzbekistan’s perspective to the global discussion on inclusive artificial intelligence and the importance of broader participation in shaping emerging technologies.
On Day 2, IT Park Uzbekistan hosted a dedicated side event, “Uzbekistan Unlocked: Capital, Innovation & Growth,” bringing together more than 110 conference participants. Held under the MIT platform, the session served as a direct bridge between Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem and leading U.S. investors, corporations, and technology leaders.
A central highlight of the session was the spotlight on four Uzbek product companies: Deepen, Platma, TTLK, and Minora AI - each presenting their solutions to an audience of venture capital funds, angel investors, startup scouts, founders, integrators, and government representatives. For these startups, the session marked a direct entry point to Boston and Silicon Valley audiences through one of the world’s most influential academic platforms.
The program featured opening remarks by Dina H. Sherif, Executive Director of the MIT Kuo Sharper Center, followed by a presentation on Uzbekistan’s market transformation and international expansion opportunities by IT Park Uzbekistan. A dedicated session on cross-border innovation, led by Silkroad Innovation Hub, highlighted the growing role of platforms connecting Central Asia with global tech ecosystems. The agenda also included a panel discussion hosted by Plug and Play, where Uzbek startups shared how they are building globally competitive products from day one.
Beyond startup exposure, the session emphasized Uzbekistan’s competitive advantages for international partners, including a 0% corporate tax regime for IT Park Uzbekistan’s members and government-backed co-investment programs designed to support scaling companies. With more than 3,500 tech companies and over 950 startups, an ecosystem valuation of $4.3 billion (Dealroom, 2025), and recognition as the world’s second fastest-growing startup ecosystem (StartupBlink, 2025), Uzbekistan is increasingly attracting global interest as a high-growth, opportunity-driven market.
The program concluded with the “Uzbekistan Networking Session” at the Cambridge Innovation Center’s Venture Café - one of Boston’s leading innovation platforms. The evening extended the dialogue beyond the formal agenda, enabling founders, investors, and partners to connect through informal networking and startup showcases.
Through its participation in “Innovation in Global Growth Markets: Prosperity through Entrepreneurship”, IT Park Uzbekistan reinforced its role as a government-backed institution open for global collaboration, positioning the country as an accessible and rapidly evolving hub for technology, investment, and cross-border innovation.
