Tashkent hosted the forum and job fair for scholarship recipients of the El-yurt umidi Foundation, jointly organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies and the Foundation. The event brought together 200 participants to exchange knowledge, discuss ongoing reforms in the field of digitalization, and explore career opportunities for young professionals.
The El-yurt umidi Foundation was established under the Agency for Civil Service Development under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the purpose of training and retraining qualified specialists abroad. The program provides talented citizens with the opportunity to study and intern at leading universities and organizations worldwide, enabling them, upon their return to Uzbekistan, to strengthen priority sectors of the economy and the public sector.
During the forum, representatives of the Ministry of Digital Technologies presented information on the large-scale reforms underway in digitalization, emphasising the central role of highly skilled youth in ensuring their effective implementation.
As part of the forum, a job fair was held where IT Park presented its own stand, introducing participants to available career opportunities and ongoing initiatives.
Dildora Nasibullaeva, Head of the International Department of IT Park Uzbekistan, provided an overview of the development of the startup ecosystem in Uzbekistan, active support programs for startups, and opportunities for international companies. She urged participants to acquire international experience and subsequently return to Uzbekistan to contribute their knowledge and resources to the country’s development.
This summer, more than 20 students joined IT Park Uzbekistan, including 14 El-yurt umidi scholarship recipients. They completed internships across key departments, including startup ecosystem development, resident monitoring, global marketing, strategy and analytics, as well as in the regional office of IT Park in Nukus. These interns are enrolled in leading international universities such as the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, University of Birmingham, Stony Brook University, KAIST (Korea), University of York, and University of Warwick.
Participation in such initiatives enables IT Park to expand engagement with promising young specialists, attract new talent into the IT sector, and further strengthen the national startup ecosystem, thereby contributing to the growth of Uzbekistan’s digital economy.
