    Romanian ITES-companies and IT Park Uzbekistan Discuss Expansion and Partnership opportunities

     

    A delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, led by CEO Farkhod Ibragimov, held a series of meetings in Bucharest during their business trip to Romania. These meetings included Endava, UiPath and Tremend Software Consulting.

     

    During the meetings, the potential for establishing a development center in Uzbekistan and initiating joint projects was discussed, highlighting the promising prospects for Uzbekistan’s IT sector. The discussions underscored Uzbekistan's growing appeal as a regional hub for IT development, with a favorable business environment, strong government support, and access to a skilled talent pool. 

     

    Endava

    The meeting featured a key representative from Endava, Radu Grosu, the Location Strategy Director and Delivery Director, who brings over 21 years of experience in the tech industry and has played a pivotal role in leading Endava’s global expansion. The IT Park Uzbekistan delegation highlighted Uzbekistan’s achievements and expanding digital infrastructure, emphasizing initiatives to attract skilled professionals and strengthen the country's digital services sector. The discussions underscored Uzbekistan’s commitment to becoming a regional technology hub and its efforts to create an attractive environment for international collaboration in the tech industry.

     

     

    The discussion centered around the increasing market demand for a multilingual workforce, particularly for professionals with strong English proficiency at B2 level and above. Intellectual property (IP) protection also emerged as a significant topic, with IT Park Uzbekistan showcasing recent strides in strengthening IP frameworks. Uzbekistan’s convenient time zone was also highlighted as a strategic advantage, enabling seamless service across multiple regions due to its central geographical location. These developments underscore Uzbekistan’s commitment to creating a secure and supportive environment for long-term foreign investment and partnerships in the tech sector.

     

    Both parties agreed to continue discussions aimed at building a sustainable partnership, which will enhance Uzbekistan’s IT sector and create new opportunities for collaboration.

     

    Endava is a technology company specializing in digital transformation, agile software development, and IT services. The company delivers solutions in the finance, insurance, telecommunications, and retail industries. Industry focus for outsourcing: financial companies and payments. Employing over 12,000 specialists worldwide, Endava operates in 65 countries with a total revenue of $860 million in 2023.

     

    UiPath

    The meeting brought together key representatives from UiPath, including Tudor Cosăceanu, the Regional Vice President for Romania & Moldova. Tudor, an experienced executive in enterprise software and IT services, shared insights into UiPath's advancements in AI-powered automation, which supports the private and public sectors in streamlining repetitive processes. 

     

    The discussions focused on potential partnership opportunities with local companies in Uzbekistan, aiming to leverage UiPath’s expertise in robotic process automation (RPA) to drive technological growth. The establishment of a UiPath development center in Tashkent was also explored, which could enhance Uzbekistan’s digital landscape by deploying UiPath’s cutting-edge automation products and creating pathways for collaboration in RPA technology. This partnership would also play a key role in upskilling Uzbekistan’s IT talent, equipping professionals with essential automation skills, and positioning the country as a growing hub for digital innovation in the region.

     

     

    UiPath, headquartered in New York and founded in Romania in 2005, is a global leader in robotic process automation (RPA). With over 4,000 employees, UiPath’s AI-driven platform optimizes workflows by automating repetitive tasks for clients in finance, healthcare, and telecommunications. In 2023, the company reported $1.059 billion in revenue, underscoring its strong market presence in North America, Europe, and beyond.

     

    Tremend Software

    In a recent meeting between IT Park Uzbekistan and Tremend Software Consulting, discussions centered on Uzbekistan's perspective as the emerging hub for outsourcing. Tremend Software, a prominent software engineering firm headquartered in Bucharest, Romania, and part of Publicis Sapient, specializes in digital transformation across sectors including banking, telecommunications, automotive, and retail.

     

     

    The IT Park Uzbekistan delegation, led by CEO Farkhad Ibragimov, showcased Uzbekistan’s advancements in its IT ecosystem and its efforts to create a secure, business-friendly environment. Key topics of the meeting included a comparative analysis of Uzbekistan’s tech talent market relative to established outsourcing hubs, focusing on the number of available engineers, salary ranges, and competitiveness. Uzbekistan’s favorable visa policies and political stability were highlighted as factors making the country an attractive option for foreign investment and skilled professionals.

     

    Dan Dorneanu, Tremend Software’s Vice President of Process, led the discussion on behalf of the company. With over 20 years of experience and a background in optimizing software engineering processes, Dorneanu provided insights into Tremend’s criteria for expansion, drawing on past experiences in other markets. 

     

     

    The dialogue highlighted Uzbekistan’s potential as a strategic hub for growth, with both parties discussing possibilities for collaboration in software engineering and innovation. Tremend Software expressed openness to further explore Uzbekistan’s market dynamics, talent pool, and business landscape, with plans to conduct additional studies to gain deeper insights into the region's potential.

     

    Tremend is a global software engineering hub for Publicis Sapient, specializing in innovative digital transformation solutions. Founded in 2005, the company has delivered banking, telecommunications, automotive, and retail projects, partnering with companies like ING and Carrefour. Staff of the company comprises more than 5,000 employees in 20 offices globally, and the revenue is about $500 million.

     

    The meetings in Romania represent a significant step in strengthening partnerships with leading European IT companies. These discussions laid the groundwork for new joint projects and opened doors to deeper collaboration, which will drive the growth of Uzbekistan’s IT sector, create high-skilled job opportunities, and position Uzbekistan as a competitive IT services hub. As Uzbekistan integrates further into the global technology ecosystem, these partnerships will enhance its attractiveness as a destination for outsourcing and innovation, fueling sustainable growth and expanding the country’s role in the international IT landscape.
