    Open Talk with TUIT Students on Startup Creation and Development

     

    Tashkent University of Information Technologies, named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, hosted an Open Talk featuring Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, Executive Director of IT Park Uzbekistan and university students.

     

    A primary focus of the event was on the conditions established in Uzbekistan for the development of startups and ITes businesses, particularly in cloud technologies, AI, and cybersecurity. The recent presidential decree and resolution aimed bolstering startup ecosystem, venture capital investments, the AI industry, and IT exports reflect the nation’s commitment to fostering innovation and dedication to facilitating the digital transformation of the economy.

     

     

    These new measures position Uzbekistan as an attractive platform for the growth of cutting-edge technologies and for strengthening the Central Asian IT ecosystem. In turn, this environment provides Uzbek specialists with opportunities to implement their own projects, gain international expertise, and seek employment in major global companies.

     

     

    During the session, Abdulakhad Kuchkarov shared insights into emerging fields for startup development and development and highlighted an array of support programs established to encourage entrepreneurship and attract investment to the country. 

     

     

    Special focus was given to existing opportunities available to students in the IT sector, including programs and resources aimed at skill development and startup support. Additionally, Kuchkarov underscored the importance of incubation and acceleration programs designed to enable local startups and IT companies to compete effectively on the international stage.

     

     

    The event concluded with a Q&A session, where students posed inquiries, shared perspectives on Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem development. The challenges faced by startup founders and potential solutions were also discussed.

     

    This session provided students with practical tools and essential knowledge for launching their own startups — from comprehending the prerequisites for participation in accelerator programs to strategies for attracting investors. 

     

     

    IT Park Uzbekistan remains actively committed to fostering growth of young professionals by establishing conditions comducibe to their professional development and the realization of innovative concepts, thus supporting to the advancement of entrepreneurship and the digital economy within the country.

    GBSF 2025 outcomes: Uzbekistan strengthens its status as an IT hub

    Tashkent hosted the Global Business Services Forum 2025 (GBSF 2025), one of the most prominent events of the year in the field of IT outsourcing and digital services. Organized by IT Park Uzbekistan with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the event convened approximately 450 participants representing 260 companies, including 237 international companies from 40 countries. Among the attendees were representatives of multinational corporations, startups, government agencies, and venture capital funds.
