Uzbek Teams Participate in International Competitive Programming Training Camp in Baku

Over the course of seven days, the teams solved problems from the Petrozavodsk Training Camp, which is considered one of the strongest competitive programming training camps in the world. The Baku camp was held in a “mirror” format of the Petrozavodsk camp: teams in Baku and Petrozavodsk solved the same problems simultaneously, allowing participants to compete in a unified international format.

More than 50 teams from around the world took part in the training camp, with 20 teams competing directly in Baku. Uzbekistan was represented by four teams. Three teams — from Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT), New Uzbekistan University, and the Tashkent campus of Lomonosov Moscow State University — are winners of the IT Park Code Cup, and their participation was supported by IT Park Uzbekistan. The fourth Uzbek team was another team from TUIT. The Baku venue also hosted this year’s finalists — teams from ADA University (Azerbaijan) and BSUIR (Belarus).

As part of the camp, meetings were also held with Anton Paramonov (BSUIR), Vladimir Mikhailovich Kotov (BSU), Yuri Stepin (Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno), and Fuad Hajiev (ADA University). The discussions focused on potential areas of cooperation and practical measures to further improve the knowledge and skills of Uzbek teams in competitive programming.

For the Uzbek teams, participation in the camp provided an opportunity to gain international competitive experience, work on highly challenging problems, and exchange knowledge with strong teams and coaches from different countries.

IT Park Uzbekistan continues to create opportunities for the development of competitive programming in the country. Supporting the participation of IT Park Code Cup winners in international training camps allows Uzbek teams to gain experience at a higher level and prepare for participation in major international competitions.
