IT Park Uzbekistan was honored to welcome the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, on an official visit, accompanied by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov. During the visit, the delegation explored IT Park’s infrastructure and key areas of activity in detail.
Representatives of the Bulgarian delegation briefed on the programs being implemented at IT Park Uzbekistan, its strategic focus areas, and future plans. Special attention was evoted to initiatives in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital solutions.
Following his visit, President Radev emphasized the significance of such technology parks in fostering youth engagement in international projects and supporting their technological initiatives.
Uzbekistan–Bulgaria Business Forum
Within the framework of the third day of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, the Uzbekistan–Bulgaria Business Forum was convened, bringing together representatives of government agencies and the private sector from both countries. The forum served as a platform for enhancing business cooperation, particularly in the field of information technology.
During the event, Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director of IT Park Uzbekistan, delivered a presentation to the Bulgarian delegation, outlining the comprehensive opportunities offered by Uzbekistan’s IT ecosystem. She elaborated on the incentives available to IT Park members, including tax and customs exemptions, subsidies for employee training and office rental costs, as well as the possibility of paying salaries and dividends in foreign currency.
Special focus was placed on the Zero Risk Program, under which foreign IT companies may benefit from complimentary office space for a one-year period, partial reimbursement of employee salaries and HR-related expenses, as well as training grants of up to $5,000 per employee.
“Uzbekistan has already established itself as a reliable digital partner. As of 2025, the country is home to over 2,800 IT Park member companies, including 752 entities with foreign capital. The total number of professionals engaged in the IT industry has surpassed 42,700”.
In conclusion, Makhliyo Muksinova extended an invitation to Bulgarian IT companies to explore cooperation opportunities, including the establishment of regional offices, forming joint ventures, and launching export-oriented IT projects in collaboration with IT Park.
The forum reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s strong commitment to eepening international cooperation in the technology sector and further positioning the country as a global IT hub. The visit of the President of Bulgaria and the Uzbekistan–Bulgaria Business Forum represent significant steps towards strengthening bilateral relations in the IT sphere and open new hporizons for investment and knowledge exchange.
