Outcomes of the European visit: IT Park Uzbekistan strengthens cooperation in Slovenia, Poland and Hungary

The delegation of IT Park Uzbekistan has concluded a working visit to Europe, which included meetings with technology companies and industry organizations in Slovenia, Poland and Hungary, as well as the events “Uzbekistan: A Digital Step Towards the Future” in Warsaw and the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference in Budapest. The visit became an important step toward strengthening partnerships with the European IT ecosystem and expanding opportunities for cooperation in outsourcing, joint projects and knowledge exchange.

    Meetings in Slovenia

In Ljubljana, the IT Park delegation held a series of six meetings with key representatives of the country’s technology sector.

During the meeting with Adacta, discussions focused on the company’s need for engineering talent and the outsourcing opportunities available in Uzbekistan. The delegation presented information on tax incentives, human capital and IT Park’s membership model. Adacta expressed strong interest in cooperation and is considering launching pilot projects with teams from Uzbekistan.

Adacta is a Slovenian technology company founded in 1989, specializing in digital solutions for the insurance and financial sectors.

At the meeting with Spyrosoft, rising costs of IT services in Europe were discussed. The company noted that to maintain competitiveness, it is actively seeking embedded systems engineers in international markets. Discussions also covered the potential for scaling development through teams in Uzbekistan and the potential establishment of an office in the country.

The meeting with Be-Terna focused on resource costs, regional talent availability and timelines for launching operations in Uzbekistan. Be-Terna is a major European integrator within the Telefónica Tech Group, employing more than 1,000 specialists. The company works in ERP, CRM and digital transformation.

Negotiations with the leadership of Technology Park Ljubljana concluded with an agreement to jointly promote IT Park Uzbekistan among Slovenian companies. The park agreed to support the organization of events, business meetings and connections with the local ecosystem.

Technology Park Ljubljana is Slovenia’s largest technology hub, bringing together hundreds of companies and startups, providing innovation support and a platform for technological business development.

Better expressed interest in outstaffing and offshoring opportunities in Uzbekistan. The meeting covered requirements for scaling teams, language competencies of specialists and prospects for long-term cooperation. The company views Uzbekistan as a promising direction for expanding its development operations.

At the meeting with Kontron, a company that has been operating in the Uzbek market for more than 20 years, representatives shared their experience of working locally. The IT Park delegation outlined government tax incentives available to companies exporting IT services from Uzbekistan.

The meeting with Kontron focused on scalable outsourcing models and opportunities to engage Uzbek engineers. The company representatives expressed interest in evaluating team costs and forming a potential long-term partnership.

    Meetings and event in Poland

The working program in Warsaw included B2B meetings and participation in the event “Uzbekistan: A Digital Step Towards the Future”.

The first meeting was held with La French Tech Warsaw and focused on joint events, acceleration programs and opportunities to involve the French entrepreneurial community in Uzbekistan’s projects. At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation took part in “Uzbekistan: A Digital Step Towards the Future”, organized jointly with the “Varsovia” University of Business and Applied Sciences and the Embassy of Uzbekistan. The program included a presentation of IT Park, its opportunities and benefits for member companies, followed by a panel discussion in which delegation members answered questions from participants.

Visit to Hungary and holding the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference

In Budapest, the delegation held important meetings with Graphisoft and Shiwaforce.

Graphisoft expressed interest in entering the Uzbek market, noting that its international growth model relies on partnerships with local companies. The company intends to continue discussions and examine the potential for cooperation with stakeholders in the Uzbek IT market.

Graphisoft is one of the global leaders in architectural software and the creator of ArchiCAD. It provides solutions to professional design and architecture firms worldwide.

Shiwaforce, part of Central Europe’s largest financial group — OTP Group — is already operating successfully in Uzbekistan, where its team of developers is creating solutions for implementing AI in the banking sector. The event gathered 75 participants from 55 companies, including TeleDirect BPO, Nagarro, IDBC Group, RED Recruitment, Microsoft Hungary and Shiwaforce. The conference served as a platform for presenting the successful practices of IT Park.

In particular, Benjamin Deniazar, CEO of OSIRIS, shared the company’s positive experience establishing development operations in Uzbekistan, while Viktoriya Kuznetsova, Executive Director of Uzinfocom, demonstrated Uzbekistan’s potential through examples of major digital transformation projects.

The UOC in Budapest created a space for open dialogue between Hungarian businesses and representatives of Uzbekistan’s IT sector. The event attracted considerable interest: more than ten companies expressed intentions to continue exploring the Uzbek market and cooperation opportunities through IT Park.

The working visit of IT Park Uzbekistan to Europe demonstrated that companies from Slovenia, Poland and Hungary show significant interest in cooperation in the field of information technology. Meetings with technology companies, participation in industry events and holding the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference strengthened business ties and confirmed Uzbekistan’s growing role as a competitive IT destination in Europe. The agreements reached are expected to translate into practical steps in the coming months, enhancing international partnerships and supporting the development of the national IT ecosystem.
