IT Park Uzbekistan and Shenzhen delegation explore cooperation in the export of IT services

Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Jakhongir Radjabov, Business Development Director, held a meeting with a delegation from the city of Shenzhen. The Chinese delegation comprised officials from key government institutions and business organizations, including the Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission, the Foreign Affairs Office, and the Shenzhen Urban Transport Planning Center. During the meeting, both sides expressed their willingness to foster dialogue and explore mutually beneficial avenues for future collaboration.

Shenzhen is widely recognized as one of China’s foremost technology hubs and is often referred to as the “Silicon Valley of China”. The city hosts leading enterprises across sectors such as digitalization, Smart City development, artificial intelligence, big data, transportation, and IT infrastructure. Smart City initiatives alone involve tens of thousands of specialists, with annual investments in digital technologies reaching tens of billions of US dollars. The Shenzhen Urban Transport Planning Center is a key player the field of urban mobility and intelligent transportation solutions.

During the meeting, IT Park representatives presented the capabilities of the ecosystem, highlighting the legal framework, tax and customs incentives available to member companies, as well as export support for IT services. Discussions also focused on collaboration with international enterprises and the potential for Chinese technology firms to establish a presence in Uzbekistan. Of particular interest was the prospect for Chinese companies operating in the Smart City and high-tech sectors to access Central Asian and CIS markets via IT Park Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the Shenzhen delegation expressed interest in deepening cooperation and establishing direct engagement with member companies of IT Park. Their priorities include the digital transformation of urban infrastructure, the promotion of IT solution exports, and joint initiatives in transport planning and logistics.

Cooperation with the city of Shenzhen, one of Asia’s most prominent technological clusters, presents IT Park Uzbekistan with significant opportunities to attract foreign investment, initiate joint ventures, and further stimulate the export of IT services. This partnership also reinforces Uzbekistan’s standing as a regional IT hub and expands the scope of its international collaboration.
