IT Park Uzbekistan and KDB Bank Uzbekistan discussed the participation of member companies in the bank’s technological modernization

Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director, held a meeting with a delegation from KDB Bank Uzbekistan headed by HaCheon Chang, Director of the Information Technology Department. The delegation also included Doston Fayziev, Head of the Digital Banking Department, and Anora Fayzullaeva, Chief Specialist of the Digital Services Department. Following the discussions, the parties agreed to explore the participation of IT Park members in projects aimed at modernizing the bank’s IT infrastructure within the framework of the New Generation Project (NGP) and to continue the exchange of information on subsequent steps of collaboration.

KDB Bank Uzbekistan is a subsidiary of the Korean financial group headquartered in Seoul. The bank operates in Tashkent through two branches and employs approximately 150 staff members. At present, it is implementing a comprehensive program to upgrade its core banking and operational systems as part of the New Generation Project.

The bank presented its plans for technological modernization and transition to international standards. The discussions focused on the involvement of IT Park members in the NGP initiative, including the modernization of key banking systems and supporting IT solutions. Particular attention was given to potential cooperation with Korean IT contractors, experience sharing, and the integration of technological solutions.

The meeting also addressed the alignment of the bank’s initiatives with the Initial Strategic Planning (ISP) program. It is planned to engage companies with proven experience in modernizing core banking systems, thereby creating new opportunities for joint projects with IT Park members in Uzbekistan.

For IT Park Uzbekistan, this cooperation provides access to a major project in the financial sector, contributes to the growth of service exports, and reinforces the Park’s position as a key platform for the implementation of international IT solutions in the country.
