RFA is Opening IT Delivery Center in Uzbekistan

RFA is Opening IT Delivery Center in Uzbekistan

During the Shared Services and Offshore Outsourcing conference, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Sherzod Shermatov, and the CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan Farkhod Ibragimov held a meeting with a delegation from the American company RFA – the CEO Yohan Kim and the President and COO Michael Asher.

RFA registered their legal entity in Uzbekistan and is now getting ready to claim membership status of IT Park Uzbekistan, and is particularly interested in the Zero Risk program in the Chirchik region. RFA plans to hire local talented employees and aims to export their digital services abroad.

RFA specializes in providing a full range of technological solutions to over 800 hedge funds, private equity firms, asset management companies, and investment managers. Their services include cloud solutions, IT service management, cybersecurity, data services, application services, and managed detection and response. The company is headquartered in New York and London, and operates in 15 locations worldwide (including in the USA, UK, Luxembourg, Spain, France, India, Singapore, the Philippines, and Japan), employing more than 300 staff members.

During the meeting, the parties discussed state support and additional measures the Uzbek government could provide to create the most favorable conditions for RFA’s business operations.

Yohan Kim, CEO of RFA, expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunities available in Uzbekistan, noting his interest in the country’s applied technology labs. He highlighted Uzbekistan as a prime location for establishing a new operational office to outsource IT projects. The company required five key positions for its initial project, and thanks to collaboration with IT Bilim, Uzbekistan successfully provided highly qualified specialists, leaving RFA’s HR department completely satisfied with the service.

The establishment of an IT delivery center in Uzbekistan is a crucial milestone for both parties. For Uzbekistan, this development opens up new opportunities for foreign investment in the ITes sector, enhances the country’s service export potential, and creates new job opportunities. For RFA, the new center represents a strategic entry into the regional market, leveraging Uzbekistan’s optimal business environment and expanding their IT services export reach.
