On July 22, the Key Account Management department and the Department for the Development of IT Product Companies in Eastern Markets held a workshop presenting a step-by-step approach to entering the Tajik market. The event focused on strategy development, business operations, regulatory requirements, and the specifics of working with local partners.
Particular attention was paid to practical experience. The speakers discussed how to test market hypotheses before launching, build a partnership-based entry model, take legal nuances into account, and avoid common mistakes. All recommendations were based on real case studies from companies already successfully operating in Tajikistan.
Nikolai Serkutan, an expert and the founder of Launch Lab, spoke about a systematic approach to entering new markets and using AI tools to test hypotheses. Abror Kholov, founder of WYZO with over nine years of experience in Tajikistan and Central Eurasia, presented a partnership model for market entry and broke down the legal specifics and key risks. ShamCRM founder Mahmudjon Akhmedov shared his experience of growing his company in Tajikistan, describing the journey from idea to first clients, as well as the mistakes made and lessons learned during the business scaling process.
IT Park Uzbekistan also provided information on its current programs and ongoing work to develop startups, as well as support measures aimed at helping them enter and scale in foreign markets.
The event concluded with an open Q&A session. Participants had the opportunity to discuss their business objectives directly with the experts and receive recommendations based on many years of experience in the Central Asian market.
Holding such events helps IT Park Uzbekistan support the international growth of its residents, reduce the risks of entering new markets, and create favorable conditions for Uzbek IT companies to scale their operations in Central Asian countries.
