Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Deputy CEO for Resident Relations Lazizbek Khudaev, held a meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Latvia headed by State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics of Latvia, Ravis Bremšmits. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence, and the development of the startup ecosystem, as well as opportunities for IT companies and startups to enter new markets.
The Latvian delegation included Ravis Bremšmits, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia; Georgiy Voyevoda, Head of the Latvian Economic Representation at the Embassy of Latvia in the Republic of Uzbekistan; representatives of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia and the Latvian ICT Cluster; as well as representatives of the companies MKG Building OU Latvia, Asya 21, Emy Solutions, and Fan Apps.
During the negotiations, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan presented the organization’s activities and its role in developing the country’s technological ecosystem. It was noted that IT Park Uzbekistan brings together startups, IT companies, and international partners, while creating favorable conditions for business development and the export of digital services.
One of the key topics discussed was cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence. The parties considered opportunities to launch joint educational programs, conduct scientific research, and develop language models.
Participants also discussed the development of the startup ecosystem and opportunities for venture financing. In particular, the idea of launching bilateral market entry programs was considered. These programs would help Uzbek startups enter the markets of the Baltic countries and the European Union, while enabling Latvian companies to explore opportunities to operate in Uzbekistan and other Eurasian markets.
In addition, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan proposed considering the creation of joint laboratories as part of developing scientific and research cooperation. The parties also discussed the prospects of exchange programs between universities and research centers. Special attention was given to the opportunities for attracting Latvian technology companies to the Uzbek market in order to expand their products and services to international markets.
Cooperation with Latvian government institutions and technology companies will allow IT Park Uzbekistan to strengthen international partnerships, expand opportunities for Uzbek IT companies and startups in European markets, and attract new technological projects and investments to support the development of the country’s digital economy.
