Serbian Technology Companies Consider Uzbekistan as a Platform for Expansion into Central Asia

The event, held with the participation of IT Park Uzbekistan and Science Technology Park Belgrade (STP Belgrade), brought together representatives of Serbian technology companies Forceman Technologies, Beyond42, Includify, and Termovent.

As part of the event, IT Park Uzbekistan and STP Belgrade signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at further developing cooperation between the two sides and strengthening ties between the technology ecosystems of Uzbekistan and Serbia.

Participants were introduced to Uzbekistan’s opportunities in IT and outsourcing, existing tax incentives, the IT Visa program, available office infrastructure, and the country’s talent potential. Particular attention was paid to mechanisms for engaging with investors and accelerators, as well as support available to foreign companies entering the Uzbek market.

A key topic of discussion was the potential use of Uzbekistan as a regional platform for Serbian companies seeking to expand across Central Asia. The parties explored opportunities to establish direct business contacts, launch joint projects, and strengthen cooperation between the startup ecosystems of the two countries.

The roundtable at STP Belgrade provided an opportunity to present Uzbekistan’s potential directly to the Serbian technology community and establish new channels of engagement with companies interested in international expansion.

Science Technology Park Belgrade is Serbia’s first science and technology park and has been operating since 2015. It supports startups, technology companies, and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, helping them commercialize their solutions and enter international markets. Since its establishment, the park has supported more than 240 technology companies, which have created over 2,800 jobs and export their solutions to more than 60 countries.

The companies participating in the roundtable expressed interest in continuing dialogue with IT Park Uzbekistan, further exploring opportunities in the Uzbek market, and taking part in ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and the roundtable marked practical steps toward expanding cooperation between the technology ecosystems of Uzbekistan and Serbia, developing new business ties, and attracting new international technology companies to the Uzbek market.
