New Opportunities Blossom: IT Park Uzbekistan and Baker Tilly Forge Strategic Ties

 

A pivotal event in Uzbekistan's business world unfolded as IT Park Uzbekistan's representatives, led by Makhliyo Mukhsinova, Director of Export Development Services, met with the Baker Tilly delegation led by Olga Zagidullina, CFA, Director of M&A Deal Advisory & Research. This meeting, held on the eve of the official opening of Baker Tilly’s new office in Uzbekistan, was characterized by discussions aimed at expanding investment and technological cooperation in the region.

 

Baker Tilly, a prominent member of the global network Baker Tilly International, ranks among the top 10 international audit and consulting networks globally, noted for its substantial aggregate income and comprehensive expertise program. By the end of 2023, the Baker Tilly network boasted over 43,000 highly skilled professionals across 141 countries, as well as total revenues reached 5.2 billion US dollars. This vast network supports Baker Tilly's ability to manage projects of any scale and complexity, thanks to the immense experience of its partners and their capability to efficiently mobilize resources.

 

The discussions touched on several key areas crucial for the collaboration between Baker Tilly and IT Park Uzbekistan. Topics included exploring venture funds and startups and integrating into Baker Tilly's cost-reduction program for their CIS division. Moreover, the partners emphasized their commitment to the human capital, planning to hire at least 100 people during the first year of operation. Significant focus was also placed on leveraging the new Tashkent office to handle international orders in collaboration with Baker Tilly’s offices in the Middle East, Europe, and China. Finally, strategies to draw more foreign investments into Uzbekistan's market were extensively discussed, highlighting the Tashkent office as key role in expanding economic engagement in the region.
