A delegation of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, led by Minister Sherzod Shermatov, as well as representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan headed by Farkhod Ibragimov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, are on a working visit to the United States.
As part of the visit, the delegation held a meeting with Danilo Tosic, Co-Founder of Wersirius Holding, to explore cooperation in logistics outsourcing, digital transformation, and workforce development.
The discussions focused on how Wersirius Holding’s global expertise can support the development of a modern logistics support ecosystem in Uzbekistan, foster new job opportunities for young professionals, and strengthen the country’s position in international logistics services. In particular, the parties explored the establishment of a Wersirius operational center in Uzbekistan under the IT Park residency program, which would provide back-office support for international logistics, including dispatch, track-and-trace, recruiting, safety, and other.
Special attention was given to talent development, with Wersirius planning to launch training programs in logistics, dispatch operations, recruiting, and sales to equip Uzbek youth with globally relevant skills. The discussion also covered scaling operational capacity from an initial 50 seats to up to 200 positions, potential expansion into tech-support and software development roles, leveraging Uzbekistan’s strong talent pool and competitive business environment, and strengthening Uzbekistan–Serbia–U.S. cooperation in logistics and digital services.
As a result, the parties identified priority areas for collaboration, including establishing the regional operations center of Werisirius in Uzbekistan, developing educational programs, and expanding workforce opportunities in logistics and digital services.
The project aims to drive job creation, enhance the country’s knowledge-based economy, and accelerate the digital transformation of the logistics sector. Wersirius emphasized that Uzbekistan offers talent quality comparable to leading nearshore markets — while enabling greater scalability and strategic expansion.
The initiative reflects Uzbekistan’s commitment to attracting international service operators, building high-value digital jobs, and positioning the country as a competitive global outsourcing destination.
