IT Park Uzbekistan and the China–SCO Center discussed prospects for cooperation in research and innovation

Director of IT Park Capital Jakhongir Kagirov held a meeting with a delegation from the China–SCO Science-Technology Innovation Cooperation Center, led by Deputy Director Liu Hongzhi. The parties discussed opportunities for collaboration in the fields of science, technology, innovation, and digital development, and exchanged expertise on supporting startups and advancing research-driven initiatives.

The China–SCO Science-Technology Innovation Cooperation Center facilitates research and educational initiatives between China and the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. The Center supports technology exchange, cooperation between universities and industry, and capacity-building in digital economy, artificial intelligence, and innovation.

During the meeting, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan provided an overview of the organization’s activities, its ecosystem, support programs for its member companies, and current projects. They also emphasized IT Park’s interest in developing research and R&D initiatives jointly with international partners, including Chinese technology centers and academic institutions.

For their part, representatives of the China–SCO Center outlined their work aimed at strengthening scientific and educational cooperation between China and SCO member states, as well as promoting technology exchange and collaboration between universities and companies.

At the conclusion of the discussion, both sides expressed mutual interest in continuing the dialogue and expanding the partnership in innovation, education, and digital development.

For IT Park Uzbekistan, cooperation with the China–SCO Center opens new opportunities to advance research projects, facilitate knowledge exchange, and introduce cutting-edge technologies. IT Park will continue to provide comprehensive support for joint initiatives and regards this partnership as an important step toward strengthening international cooperation, attracting investment, and further developing Uzbekistan’s IT industry.
