IT Park Uzbekistan and Telc explore new avenues of cooperation in language education

A meeting took place at IT Park Uzbekistan with representatives of the German organisation Telc gGmbH, during which the parties discussed the launch of joint initiatives in the field of language education and certification.

From IT Park, the meeting was attended by Jakhongir Radjabov, Business Development Director; Vsevolod Lee, Head of the IT Park Uzbekistan Office in Germany; Muzaffar Nuriddinkhodjaev, IT Park Ambassador in Germany; Sarvar Vokhidov, Head of the European and UK Export Department; and Akbar Yakubov, Senior Manager of the External Projects Implementation Department. The Telc gGmbH delegation included Bruno Carlesso, Director of Global Business Development, and Winfrid Elwanger, Head of Business Development for Central Asia.

Telc gGmbH is a German non-profit organisation headquartered in Bad Homburg, specialising in international language examinations in accordance with CEFR standards (A1–C2). Telc certificates are recognised for academic, professional and migration purposes in many countries, and the organisation’s network of examination centres exceeds 3,000 worldwide. Beyond German, Telc develops examinations in English, Spanish, French, Italian, Turkish, Russian and other languages. The company also produces teaching methodologies, educational materials and provides teacher training to maintain high standards in certification.

During the meeting, IT Park presented an overview of its key achievements from 2017 to 2025, highlighting its focus on attracting international educational institutions and expanding certification infrastructure.

Representatives of Telc noted that the organisation currently offers two certificate formats — for visa purposes and for general use. They also emphasised that Telc is developing new job-test examinations tailored to the needs of labour markets with growing demand for skilled professionals.

Telc expressed interest in cooperating with IT Park Uzbekistan in the training qualified specialists. The parties discussed opportunities for joint work aimed at strengthening language competencies and improving the quality of training for specialists oriented toward the needs of the international market.

Jakhongir Radjabov noted that the increasing demand among major BPO companies for German-speaking professionals makes the systematic training of such talent especially important.

IT Park also noted that the country has a state program under which students’ tuition costs are fully covered upon successful completion of the C1-level certificate.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working on the development of international educational initiatives aimed at creating new opportunities for training qualified specialists in the country.
