    Outcomes of Bootcamps and Masterclasses During Digital Startups Week

    From December 2 to 6, Digital Startups Week featured a series of bootcamps and informative masterclasses led by international experts. Students and startup founders were introduced to strategies for scaling and entering global markets.

     

    A total of six impactful events took place, attracting approximately 150 participants, including students, startup founders, and investors.

     

    Student Startup Bootcamp Scaling Startups: From Strategy to Global Impact

     

     

    On December 2, IT Park Uzbekistan hosted the Student Startup Bootcamp, organized in collaboration with Plug and Play and INHA University in Tashkent. The objective of the event was to assist young entrepreneurs in developing strategies for scaling their startups and preparing for international market entry. More than 20 participants attended the bootcamp.

     

    Martin Gikov delivered a session on creating financial models for startups, emphasizing cost management, revenue forecasting, and strategic planning to ensure long-term success. 

     

     

    Tsovinar Sofi Babayan provided startups with effective revenue generation models, including subscription services, freemium models, and pay-per-use approaches. She also explored innovative strategies for revenue generation, urging participants to creatively address the issue of product-market fit and customer retention. 

     

    Yaroslav Dudko conducted a session on investor searching, focusing on successful pitching techniques, the various stages of funding, and shared advice on cultivating long-term relationships with investors. He outlined practical steps for preparing investment pitches, understanding funding phases, and engaging in negotiations with venture capitalists and business angels.

     

    Competitive Analysis Workshop

     

     

    On December 3, IT Park hosted a masterclass on “Competitive Analysis”, conducted by the accomplished entrepreneur Azizbek Kurbanov, Co-Founder and CEO of Sug‘urta Bozor.

     

    During the session, Azizbek elaborated on effective strategies for analyzing the competitive environment and identifying various forms of market competition. He provided practical tools designed to assist participants in uncovering growth opportunities.

     

    The workshop welcomed 20 participants, who gained valuable insights into positioning their businesses for success in dynamic markets. At the conclusion of the session, attendees engaged with the speaker, posing their questions.

     

    Venture Investments for Funds Workshop

     

    On December 4, IT Park organized a masterclass led by Christopher Polligkeit, a distinguished expert from the Plug and Play accelerator with extensive experience in venture investments and corporate innovation. The session was tailored for managers of venture funds, as well as representatives from public and private banking institutions.

     

    During the workshop, Christopher shared established methodologies and approaches for working with innovative projects, drawing on globally recognized best practices. Participants engaged in discussions on investment strategies, methods for startup evaluation, and covered investment processes.

     

    Data Room for Investors Workshop

     

     

    As part of IT Park’s educational initiative focused on enhancing entrepreneurial skills and fostering collaboration with international investors, Christopher Polligkeit conducted an exclusive workshop at Amity University. The session was attended by more than 20 participants.

     

    This event brought together students, young entrepreneurs, and startup founders, offering them a unique opportunity to acquire invaluable knowledge and insights. Christopher shared his expertise on two critical topics: “Becoming a Disciplined Entrepreneur: Problem, Customer, and Solution” and “Understanding the Expectations of Venture Funds: What Truly Matters”.

     

    Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of building strong teams, managing financial resources, and developing comprehensive growth strategies. This event not only served as a platform for education but also as an inspiration for emerging talent, seeking to cultivate successful business ventures.

     

    How Corporations Can Foster Innovation and Partner with Startups Workshop

     

     

    On December 4, IT Park hosted a workshop led by Alfredo Gomez Soria, Senior Manager of Corporate Partnerships at Plug and Play, and Victoria Hernández, Ambassador of the European Innovation Council for Investments.

     

    The event was attended by over 30 specialists representing various organizations, including Aloqabank, Agrobank, ASIA ALLIANCE BANK, Business Development Bank, DAVR BANK, Hamkorbank, Trustbank, ORIENT FINANS, KDB Bank Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Uzbekistan Airways, O‘zbekiston temir yo‘llari, Uzbekneftegaz, Euroasia Insurance, UMS, Ucell, Uzbektelecom, and Ustabor.uz.

     

    Alfredo Gomez emphasized the critical role of partnerships between corporations and startups. He provided numerous successful examples of such collaborations and elucidated the distinctions between Demo, PoC (Proof of Concept), and Pilot projects. Significant attention was dedicated to the selection of suitable teams, assessing the success of startups, monitoring their progress, and understanding when it is appropriate to terminate collaborations with a startup.

     

    Victoria Hernández outlined the EIC’s programs and EIC Scaling Clubs, highlighted the essential approaches to cultivating an innovation-driven culture within corporations, and presented successful models of collaboration between corporations and startups. She also shared practical success stories of the implementation of startup-driven solutions.

     

    The European Innovation Council (EIC) is a premier European program focused on identifying, developing, and scaling breakthrough technologies and innovations that significantly alter the course of events.

     

    Student Startup Bootcamp: Achieving Product-Market Fit & Attracting Investors

     

     

    The final event of the series, the Student Startup Bootcamp, took place on December 6 at U-Enter. Pavel Sikachev and Petr Servin discussed the essentials of achieving product-market fit and creating value for investors.

     

    More than 50 participants explored how to identify and achieve the ideal product-market fit, delved into strategies for aligning products with customer needs and market demands, and learned to develop compelling value propositions to attract investors. Additionally, the bootcamp covered practical approaches for securing capital to support sustainable growth.

     

    These bootcamps and workshops have made a significant contribution to advancing the startup ecosystem, providing participants with essential knowledge, strategies for scaling, and practical tools for successful engagement with investors. IT Park continues to bring together international experts, leading corporations, and emerging innovators, working to strengthen Uzbekistan’s presence on the global technological stage and accelerate the growth of local startups in the global economy.

     

    On December 7, the concluding events of Digital Startups Week will take place, including the official launch of IT Park Ventures, the presentation of the Digital Startups Program, the inauguration of the Startup Base platform, and the highly anticipated grand finale of the second wave of the President Tech Award.

    GBSF 2025 outcomes: Uzbekistan strengthens its status as an IT hub

    Tashkent hosted the Global Business Services Forum 2025 (GBSF 2025), one of the most prominent events of the year in the field of IT outsourcing and digital services.
