IT Park Uzbekistan Participated in a Workshop on the Development of the National Intellectual Property Strategy, Highlighting Key Challenges Faced by IT Companies

During the workshop, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of IT Park Uzbekistan, Lazizbek Ibrokhimovich, outlined the key challenges that IT Park residents face in protecting their intellectual property rights. He emphasized that a strong and transparent intellectual property protection system is essential for enhancing the competitiveness of local developers, safeguarding software products, attracting major foreign investment, and enabling businesses to scale with confidence.

To address these challenges and help transform local innovations into globally competitive businesses, IT Park is already implementing a range of practical support measures. Assistance with international market expansion will be provided through systematic support for intellectual property registration.

Coverage of Registration Costs: Under the Digital Startup Program, companies will be eligible for reimbursement of expenses related to the registration of intellectual property assets both in Uzbekistan and abroad.

Global Protection: This mechanism will enable startups to effectively protect their source code and proprietary technological solutions in their target international markets.

Participation in the development of the National Strategy will help ensure that the specific needs of the IT industry are reflected in the country's legal framework. Strengthening intellectual property protection will contribute to the creation of a secure and innovation-friendly ecosystem for technology companies while accelerating Uzbekistan's integration into the global digital economy.
