The visit also included meetings with representatives of Cyber Temple and DataMatrix Corp, where the parties discussed practical formats of cooperation, opportunities for developing the game development industry, and the further expansion of technology companies in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting with Olzhas Akparov, CEO of Cyber Temple, the discussion focused primarily on the development of the gaming industry. The Kazakhstan-based studio, a member of Astana Hub and the developer of DarkSwitch, offered to provide advisory support to Uzbek game developers and publishers, as well as participate in IT Park acceleration programs as an external expert.
The parties also discussed the development of a dedicated publishing direction. IT Park presented its plans related to the game development fund, with publishing and promotion support for game projects considered as a potential next stage of its development. Creating new jobs in the industry remains one of the key priorities.
Cyber Temple also shared approaches that could be adapted for studios in Uzbekistan. In particular, the discussion covered Eastern European experience, building a pipeline of around 50 promising PC projects for further selection, and simplifying production workflows to accelerate game development and release.
Another area of discussion was helping Uzbek projects enter international markets. IT Park outlined opportunities to support companies interested in expanding to Korea and Japan, as well as different models of cooperation with gaming companies, including equity, venture, and debt financing.
The parties also explored opportunities to develop dedicated game development infrastructure, including a specialized hub where studios could access essential equipment such as development kits, workspaces, and other resources. IT Park also presented the Zero Risk and Local to Global support programs.
As a next step, the parties plan to exchange information on IT Park opportunities and active game projects. Based on this exchange, they intend to identify suitable cooperation formats and continue discussions online.
Another meeting was held with DataMatrix Corp. The company is already operating in Uzbekistan through a local partner, implementing pilot projects, including projects in the banking sector, and is considering further expansion in the market. Once its portfolio reaches 3–5 projects, the company plans to establish its own office in Uzbekistan.
The discussion with IT Park Uzbekistan covered opportunities to expand support through the Zero Risk program, assistance with talent search and recruitment, and the company’s potential participation in acceleration and training programs. As next steps, DataMatrix Corp is expected to be connected with relevant legal and consulting specialists and added to IT Park’s information mailing list on upcoming events and new opportunities.
