CRIF Considers Establishing a Regional Headquarters in Uzbekistan

During the Shared Services and Offshore Outsourcing Conference, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan engaged in discussions with a delegation from the Italian company CRIF, led by Vincenzo Resta, Director of CRIF’s Asia Division. The talks focused on the prospect of opening a regional headquarters in Uzbekistan.

CRIF is one of the leading providers of banking credit information in continental Europe and is recognized in the FinTech 100 ranking, a prestigious ranking of the world’s top technology solutions providers for the financial services. With headquarters in Italy and back-office operations in India, the UAE, and Slovenia, CRIF serves clients in 37 countries across four continents, employing over 6,400 professionals. 

In a previous meeting, discussions explored the potential for a local CRIF office in Uzbekistan to function as a regional back-office, providing services to international markets. Our country has captured CRIF’s interest due to the government’s openness to provide the necessary support and assistance to the ITes sector and the measures and reforms taken to optimise the business environment.

As part of their visit to ICT WEEK UZBEKISTAN 2024, the CRIF delegation examined the local infrastructure, the skill levels of local talent, and the streamlined conditions for conducting business. Following the official program, the delegation will visit several IT Park members to gain insights into the successful operations of other companies in the region. 

The potential establishment of a regional headquarters for CRIF in Uzbekistan might serve as a significant milestone for both parties. For Uzbekistan, this initiative offers new opportunities for attracting investments in the ITes sector, enhancing export potential, and creating high-skilled jobs. For CRIF, it represents a strategic expansion into Central Asia, utilizing Uzbekistan’s advantageous business environment as a gateway to international markets.
