Another meeting between Compatriots and representatives of the Ministry of Digital Technologies and IT Park Uzbekistan was held in the USA

At the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the USA, the delegation of Uzbekistan, led by the Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, and with the participation of the General Director of IT Park Uzbekistan Farkhod Ibragimov, met with our compatriots as part of their visit to the Global Digital Summit-2024.

 

 

Compatriots is a platform for holding traditional meetings of representatives of the Uzbek diaspora in foreign countries. The meeting was attended by our compatriots who work in such large companies as Accenture, Amazon, Google, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, InSayn Tech, Wells Fargo and others.

 

 

The participants of the Compatriots meeting were presented with the IT Park Uzbekistan Ambassadors program, the goal of which is to combine efforts in promoting Uzbekistan as an outsourcing hub for IT, BPO and KPO services in the international market. As part of this program, our compatriots abroad can attract large companies to Uzbekistan focused on exporting IT services and outsourcing business processes, creating new jobs and developing the IT infrastructure of our country. The key result of this program is to increase the volume of exports of IT services to 5 billion US dollars by 2030 as part of the Digital Uzbekistan-2030 strategy.

 

 

Also, representatives of IT Park spoke in more detail about preferential programs for IT and outsourcing companies - Zero Risk and Regional HQ, which open up new opportunities for creating representative offices in Uzbekistan with minimal risks. The project “ENTERPRISE UZBEKISTAN” was presented - an international center of digital technologies on the territory of IT Park, which comes into force on June 1, 2024.

 

During the open dialogue at the meeting, participants discussed the dynamics of development of the IT sector, and also reviewed the projected results of ongoing government reforms and programs to support the private sector. Our compatriots in the United States highly appreciated the initiatives aimed at creating new conditions for companies in the field of IT and outsourcing in Uzbekistan. Their active participation in the discussion, as well as the expressed offer of support, emphasized their readiness for joint efforts to promote the development of the IT sector in the country.
