Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference: A Platform Showcasing the Country's Potential to Romanian Companies

The Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference took place in Bucharest, aiming to foster collaboration between European businesses and Uzbekistan’s rapidly evolving outsourcing market. The event’s key partners featured prominent international companies, including EPAM Systems, Net-Connect Group, and Accesa.

The conference convened over 100 participants representing 85 companies from diverse sectors such as IT, service industries, consulting, and others. Notable attendees included companies like Atruvia, Accesa, Expleo Group, TDCX, Varicent, Netex Group, TMC Romania, Software Development Academy, and Oben Technology.

The event commenced with a keynote address by Farkhod Ibragimov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, who underscored Uzbekistan’s substantial potential as a strategic partner and IT service provider. In his remarks, he highlighted the country’s unique advantages for scaling IT-enabled services (ITeS) enterprises, including tax incentives, a robust pool of young and highly skilled professionals, and favorable conditions for foreign investors.

Representatives from IT Park Uzbekistan presented state-supported programs and incentives for IT businesses. Of particular interest to attendees was the Zero Risk program, that provides export-oriented ITeS companies with office spaces and equipment for up to 12 months, along with reimbursements for employee training expenditures.

A representative from EPAM Systems shared insights on strategies for achieving success within Uzbekistan’s rapidly growing market, emphasizing the country’s exceptional opportunities for scaling operations through its competitive tax regime and highly competent workforce.

Net-Connect Group’s representative outlined practical approaches for entering new markets, highlighting Uzbekistan’s outsourcing capabilities as a gateway to long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

Additionally, an expert from Accesa presented case studies of successful project implementations in Uzbekistan, illustrating how innovative ideas are nurtured into successful products under the country’s supportive investment climate.

Moreover, IT Park Uzbekistan representatives delivered a detailed roadmap for launching and growing businesses in Uzbekistan. They highlighted the swift company registration process, entrepreneur support programs, and the prospects of expanding into new markets from Uzbekistan.

The conference concluded with a networking session, during which participants explored avenues for collaboration and exchanged contacts. As an outcome of the event, it is anticipated that over 10 companies will establish operations in Uzbekistan within a year, generating more than 600 new employment opportunities.

The Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference provided European companies with an opportunity to explore Uzbekistan’s high-potential market while identifying pathways for integration into the nation’s economic ecosystem.

For Uzbekistan, this event marked a significant step toward solidifying its position as a leading global IT hub. Such initiatives are expected to significantly attract foreign investments, catalyze job creation, and further develop the country’s IT sector.
