IT Park Uzbekistan and Sonect Discuss Operational Launch and Talent Development Across Uzbekistan

Earlier, Sonect announced its entry into the Uzbek market, identifying the country as a strategic destination for expanding its export-oriented business. The decision followed a series of meetings previously held in Moscow and Tashkent. The company plans to establish an operational center in Uzbekistan, focusing on recruiting multilingual professionals to serve international clients, while also unveiling its new brand during GBSF 2026.

Previously, Sonect was part of Teleperformance, one of the world's largest Customer Experience and Business Process Outsourcing providers. The company serves clients in more than 170 markets across over 100 countries, employs more than 490,000 people worldwide, and generated €10.3 billion (approximately US$11 billion) in revenue in 2024.

During the meeting, the parties discussed Sonect's expansion plans in Uzbekistan, potential locations for operational centers, the availability of qualified professionals, and government support measures available to international companies establishing operations in the country.

Particular attention was given to human capital development and the country's regional potential. Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan highlighted Uzbekistan's young and multilingual talent pool, well-developed digital and office infrastructure across the country, as well as the additional advantages offered by the regions, where even more favorable conditions have been created for implementing and scaling export-oriented BPO projects.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), cementing their intention to develop long-term cooperation on launching Sonect's BPO operations in Uzbekistan, training personnel, and implementing joint initiatives in export-oriented business services. Furthermore, the parties reviewed the advantages of obtaining member status with IT Park Uzbekistan, including tax and operational benefits, support tools for foreign investors, and support mechanisms for export-oriented businesses. Particular attention was given to the creation of modern jobs that will enable young specialists to develop their language, communication, and digital skills while working on projects for international clients.

The launch of Sonect's operations in Uzbekistan further demonstrates the growing interest of leading international BPO companies in the country as a promising destination for export-oriented service delivery. Supported by modern digital infrastructure, a young multilingual workforce, and the comprehensive assistance provided by IT Park Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan continues to attract global companies establishing service centers for international markets.
