IT Park and 5D MENA Discuss Prospects for Establishing a Regional Office and Advancing AI Applications

As part of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, Elyor Maksudov, Startup and Investment Development Director at IT Park Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Safwan Amin Omari, CEO of 5D MENA. The discussions centered on potential avenues of cooperation in the digital technology sector, particularly the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) projects and the establishment of a regional office of 5D MENA in Uzbekistan.  

 

5D MENA, a leading technology company headquartered in Amman, Jordan, specializes in the development of comprehensive digital solutions and software products. The company’s extensive portfolio includes mobile and web development, digital marketing, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, business process automation, AI-driven solutions, Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, and smart city applications. With a workforce of approximately 100 highly qualified specialists, 5D MENA operates offices in Jordan and India, actively serving the Middle East and North Africa markets with comprehensive services ranging from system integration to bespoke software development and advanced data analytics.  

 

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s IT sector, the extensive tax incentives available to IT Park member companies, and the dynamic development of the national startup ecosystem. Special emphasis was placed on Uzbekistan’s strategic advantages as a gateway for accessing the Central Asian markets.

 

 

Mr. Omari expressed keen interest in localizing certain operational functions of 5D MENA in Uzbekistan. He highlighted the country’s growing pool of highly skilled IT professionals and its consistent progress in digitalization, making Uzbekistan an attractive destination for regional business expansion.

 

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to continue dialogue on several key areas, including the potential establishment of a 5D MENA office in Uzbekistan, the joint implementation of pilot projects utilizing artificial intelligence, and the identification of collaborative opportunities with local startups.
