Results of the first corporate AI hackathon at IT Park Uzbekistan

IT Park Uzbekistan has successfully concluded its first corporate AI hackathon Build with AI, which brought together employees from the head office and regional branches. Over the course of four days, 245 participants across 55 teams worked on developing practical AI-driven solutions to enhance the company’s internal processes.

The hackathon served not only as a competition but also as a platform for knowledge sharing. Teams built prototypes, attended mentoring sessions, and presented their projects to the jury. The judging panel included Khondamir Rakhmatov, CTO of Venkon Group; Renat Akhtyamov, Director at EPAM; and Yerbol Akhmetov, Head of Business Programs Office at Astana Hub.

Highlights of the second and third days

On August 14–15, the hackathon continued at IT Park Uzbekistan. Teams refined and tested their products, expanded functionality, and received valuable guidance from mentors.

The second day placed particular emphasis on learning: participants attended workshops on storytelling in IT and the practical implementation of AI solutions, immediately applying these insights to enhance project logic and prepare their initial demos.

The third day was dedicated to preparation for the final presentations: teams conducted testing, improved their prototypes, prepared slides, and assigned pitching roles. All works were submitted via Padlet, and the day concluded with a gratitude session with mentors and the announcement of the grand finale.

    The final day

The concluding day of the hackathon took place on August 16, featuring final presentations and project defenses before the jury. Each team presented its product, outlined the problem it sought to address, demonstrated the prototype, and responded to expert questions.

Projects were evaluated across five criteria: practical value and applicability within the company, effective use of AI tools and agents, quality and simplicity of implementation, presentation and delivery, as well as teamwork and innovation. The final was held in an open presentation format, allowing teams to pitch their projects, answer questions, and demonstrate fully functioning prototypes.

    Hackathon winners

The first place was awarded to the Pitch Grader team from IT Park Ventures. Their solution — an AI agent that automates the evaluation of startup applications — analyzes pitches against standardized criteria and generates instant feedback. This tool reduces project assessment process from months to minutes while improving the quality of selection.

Second place went to the AISIA team from the Service Export Department for Asian countries. They introduced AI-Jon — a CRM assistant integrated into a Telegram bot. The solution automates routine tasks such as adding profiles to the CRM, generating follow-up messages, preparing meeting briefs, and sourcing leads. This innovation saves over 360 working hours per month and thousands of dollars, alleviating employee burnout and enabling focus on more strategic objectives.

The third prize was secured by the Simpsons team from the Resident Relations Department (L2G/Consulting). Their Smart Search Module optimizes data search and management within the company. Supporting natural language queries and structured filters, it provides a unified access point to information, reducing search time from hours to seconds and significantly decreasing workload for employees.

Separate results were announced among the regions. The winning team from IT Park’s Namangan branch presented Resident AI — an intelligent assistant for IT Park members. The solution enables companies to monitor obligations and deadlines, utilize financial and tax tools, and access personalized recommendations and support through an AI Help Desk.

The hackathon demonstrated the strong potential of employees in applying AI technologies and marked the beginning of new initiatives that will be further integrated into the organization’s operations.
