OTS Technology Parks Discuss Development of a Connected Innovation Ecosystem

The discussion was attended by a delegation of IT Park Uzbekistan led by CEO Azamat Karamatov, along with representatives of IDDA (Azerbaijan), Astana Hub (Kazakhstan), Bilişim Vadisi (Türkiye), and the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Participants included Azamat Karamatov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan; Magzhan Madiyev, CEO of Astana Hub; Aidana Bergazdenova, CEO of Astana Hub Ventures; Chubak Temirov, Deputy CEO of the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic; Sezen Güngör, International Relations Director at Bilişim Vadisi; and Shahin Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IDDA.

The discussion focused on developing practical cooperation mechanisms between the technology ecosystems of OTS member states to support startups, expand their access to new markets, and create favorable conditions for technology companies to scale internationally.

Participants discussed the development of startup mobility mechanisms and soft-landing programs that would enable startups from OTS countries to receive support when entering other member-state markets, gain a better understanding of local innovation ecosystems, and establish connections with potential partners.

Particular attention was also given to developing a joint framework for cooperation among technology parks. The parties considered potential priority initiatives, coordination mechanisms, and further steps toward implementing joint projects.

Another key area of discussion was expanding startups’ access to financing. Participants explored opportunities to develop investor networks, co-investment mechanisms, and potential joint investment instruments to support technology projects across the OTS region.

The roundtable provided a platform for exchanging experience among technology parks of the member states and discussing practical mechanisms aimed at strengthening regional technology cooperation and developing a more connected innovation ecosystem across the Turkic states.
