IT Park Uzbekistan and SEE UP Advance Cooperation Between the Startup Ecosystems of Uzbekistan and Serbia

Following the meeting, IT Park Uzbekistan and SEE UP signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining the key areas of further cooperation. 

One of the main areas of cooperation will be strengthening ties between the startup ecosystems of Uzbekistan and Serbia. The parties intend to support Uzbek companies interested in exploring opportunities in the Serbian market, as well as Serbian startups considering Uzbekistan as a platform for entering the Central Asian market.

The partnership also envisages cooperation in startup acceleration. IT Park Uzbekistan and SEE UP will exchange information on relevant programs and opportunities and support the participation of startups from both countries in each other’s initiatives.

Another area of cooperation will include forums, webinars, business missions, and other joint events. These formats will facilitate knowledge exchange, strengthen business connections, and foster new partnerships between representatives of the startup ecosystems of Uzbekistan and Serbia.

The parties also explored opportunities for cooperation in artificial intelligence, AI-focused educational initiatives, and research and development (R&D). Potential formats include the exchange of expertise, implementation of pilot projects, and stronger engagement between startups and relevant organizations in both countries.

In addition, the Memorandum provides for closer ties between representatives of the venture capital and investment ecosystems, including venture funds, angel investors, and corporate investors, as well as the exchange of information on potential investment opportunities.

The signing of the Memorandum lays the groundwork for further practical cooperation between IT Park Uzbekistan and SEE UP and creates new opportunities for the international growth of startups from both countries.
