IT Park Uzbekistan and American Councils Expand Cooperation in Education and Technology Sectors

Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Director for Strategic Development Makhliyo Muksinova and CEO of IT Park University Bokhidyr Ayupov, held a meeting with a delegation from American Councils for International Education, headed by the organization’s President, Lisa Choate. Following the meeting, both sides agreed to continue discussions and develop new joint projects in the fields of education, innovation, and IT skills development.

American Councils for International Education is an international non-profit organization that implements educational programs, academic exchanges, and initiatives focused on developing language proficiency and professional skills. The organization operates in dozens of countries, preparing specialists with international experience and competencies.

During the meeting, representatives of American Councils highlighted Uzbekistan’s significant progress in developing its digital economy and IT sector. In turn, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan presented the IT Park ecosystem, its key achievements, and opportunities for international cooperation.

Special attention was given to strengthening technological partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States. It was emphasized that the opening of an IT Park Uzbekistan office in the U.S. has become a key step toward attracting investment and supporting Uzbek IT companies in entering international markets.

The parties also discussed educational initiatives, including exchange programs, mentorship, and English language training tailored to IT and tech skills. One of the key priorities of the cooperation is youth development — equipping young people with practical skills and creating opportunities for participation in international projects.

Additionally, the participants highlighted the role of the American Makerspace Center in Karshi, established with the support of IT Park Uzbekistan. The center provides young professionals with access to modern equipment and opportunities to work on real-world projects in technology and engineering.

Cooperation with American Councils creates additional opportunities for IT Park Uzbekistan to develop educational programs, strengthen international ties, and train competitive professionals for the IT industry.
